Started doing baby binds and now I’m hooked!!

I’ve been tempted to try book binding for a while and I felt so intimidated by it till I did a short workshop at a local university and realized I could do one shots in booklet form… that was two weeks ago and I’ve already made 10 😅

I love this series (and sexting) so much!

I watched some tutorials but I tend to charge forward and learn as I go but my process so far has been to typeset in word, print on regular paper that I already had on hand. Then I separate into signatures (usually 2), sew, sew them together and then glue the spine. Then once the glue has mostly set I glue the cover on! I’ve been making the covers out of cardstock.

They’re not perfect but I’m having fun and excited to gift them to my friends! 💕

I drew this for vio / adure / @toburnup‘s outstanding steddie fic in progress “is your light on?” The quote from Steve, “I think I’m going to start dating again,” is from Chapter 3. Vio sets the mood in each chapter by noting sensual details that build a solid world in which the characters can dwell and play off of each other, and as a result the story has an emotional depth that kinda floors me every time.
