✨Adventures in Gauffering✨

As requested (albeit several months late) I have finally put together a video on my gauffering process!

Please take this video with a grain of salt– I am a complete beginner, and this method is far from traditional. It is simply what I was able to accomplish at my current skill level with the materials I had on hand.

For more in depth videos on sanding and edge painting, please check out @duran-binding and @copticcowgirl . They taught me everything I know!

There is so little instructional information about gauffering available online, particularly with budget materials. The amount of trial and error it took to establish a method that yielded fairly consistent results was frankly maddening, so I sincerely hope that this look into my process is useful to someone.

people on TikTok don’t realize fic binding didn’t begin with idiots selling mass printed fanfiction on TikTok-Shop. They think it started as a negative thing ON TIKTOK😭it started on tumblr years ago as a way to appreciate authors!! It was never about selling fics, we’re AGAINST THAT HERE and always have been. I am so tired of the way TikTok rewrites fandom culture.

Today's the last day of April, and to belatedly celebrate my birthday I'd like to share a comic with you: it's about getting revenge against the people who wronged you, and it's called Werewolf's Lament.

Werewolf's Lament is printed with florescent orange and mint risograph inks on light brown paper; cut and folded in the shape of a wolf. Physical copies are for sale in my online shop.

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir

Paperback to hardcover rebind. I made four different cover variants. Adrian pattern is printed on 50x50cm fabric, which gave me enough wiggle room to make sure that none of the four slipcases have the same pattern

Andy Weir was kind enough to send me signed book plates! One of them I've put in my personal copy, the others I will be saving for something later coming this year :)

Rest of the copies are going out to my friends <3
