Writing Interactive Course Lesson
The Writing Interactive Course has taught me how to write an Advanced article. I expected to receive better writing skills, learn how to add tags and categorize my articles. I have learned that Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a big part of categorizing your articles and enables site visitors to easily find your site. During this course, I have learned that categorizing is more vague and tagging is more specific. Tagging and Categorizing your article makes the search simple for the user to find the content that they are seeking.
I have learned how to built an article using the Who, What, Where, When, and Why. I have learned that I have to create a winning title that speaks volumes in order to engage the site visitor. When requesting an interview, I have learned the most effective response you receive is in-person or via social media through social media outlets such as Twitter. I know the last resort to requesting quotes for your article is by email. I have learned how to cover in-depth details about an event and how an interview brings the content to life. I have learned by interviewing the subject or a witness to an event, it gives more credibility to the article.
I have learned the fundamentals of blogging, Google Analytics,and embedding posts such as screenshots of Twitter and videos to enhance my site. Adding additional widgets and functions on your site also allows the reader to become interactive with your content, allows users to comment, enables the user to share and then allows generation of more traffic to your site. I have also learned in sending gratitude to the users when they leave comments, follow me on Twitter, or visit my site. The writing interactive course has taught me how to enhance the users experience when visiting my site. Growing your audience is an important factor to the success or your article and your routine blogging experience. The course did meet my expectations in furthering my career in digital communications. The Writing Interactive Course has taught me how to become detailed oriented when writing my articles as we live in the Information Age!
