People who insist that Nintendo should do more with some of there more under used franchises but then turn around and get upset when Nintendo DOES make a new game in a franchise they haven't done anything with in years just because it's not a franchise those people personally wanted a new game in fascinate me. For all the wrong reasons!
Like, I get it! It can suck when a franchise you love hasn't gotten a new game in over a decade or even decades and your really hoping something would be done with that franchise but nothings ever done with it! I say this as someone who grew up on the Jak and Daxter series on PlayStation which is a franchise I love but also hasn't gotten a new game since 2009 and anytime anything was done with this franchise beyond this point it's either small Easter eggs in other games or just ports of the games.
On the other hand though, isn't Nintendo making stuff like the new Deep Ocean and Famicom Detective Club games also them literally doing the one thing you have been begging them to do for years at this point? Give more attention to there under used franchises? Maybe they aren't the specific franchises you personally wish were getting new games but shouldn't the fact that those franchises are getting new games after such a long absence of no new games be seen a good thing anyway? Not even just for the sake of the people who are genuinely interested in those franchises but because it's still Nintendo actually giving these franchises new life and maybe even getting a new audience! ... Oh wait, I forgot. They aren't new F Zero or Star Fox games so they don't count right?
Seriously, I want certain franchises I like to get games two, but not to the point where I'd act in the entitled way I've seen some Nintendo fans act if Capcom for example doesn't announce a new Darkstalkers or Power Stone game but do announce a new game in a different old franchise I have no interest in!
