Nadia was toying with a regular human, gaining a sort of sadistic pleasure from the way he was practically drooling. “Now, be a good boy and buy me some food and when you’re done, you can let me use your credit card but it’s gotta be our little secret, okay?” She blew him a kiss and winked, which just about caused the poor bastard to swoon. He nodded his head all the same and reached out to her, beginning to pout when she pulled just out of reach. “You fulfill your end of the deal and I might reward you but not until then.” She chided, ignoring the fact that another party had approached, still manipulating the man by way of his pheromones.
“tch” she looked down at the small bag that fell from her arms. she looked down at them, a childish pout on her lips, she’d helped out the baker down the street with some small chores and got compensated with the cookies that’d been broken or iced wrong. she certainly didn’t complain, but the small plastic bags were a bit of a hassle to carry. she bent slowly, an arm reaching out to pick up the small bag before she got back up, looking around once, twice to make sure no other bags had dropped before continuing to walk back, it wasn’t until the F O R T H time the bag fell that she let out a frustrated sound, looking around for the first person she saw, “hey- ah, can you get that?”
Aaron stood around the games and rides on the boardwalk and felt no sort of thrill whatsoever. The only thng enjoyable was the way he could feel people’s blood rushing through their veins, the loud heartbeat... so chaotic. All of this around him, and he couldn’t do anything because of the person he was with. He didn’t want to show the people who had grown to be his family the cruel power he had been cursed with. The lust he oh-so-wished to relieve. He turned to the person, his face still blank and mumbled, “wow, that was fun.”
the girl decided that she would visit the boardwalk and all she could think about was how much she hated seeing all these kids and teenagers so happy. it was a good thing, she just hated that she was cursed with being an advanced so young that her happiness vanished. astrid couldn’t even bring herself to smile at the smell of cotton candy, which used to be her favorite smell in the world. she leaned against a wall and just let herself observe everything around her, that was until she noticed one of the others walking up to her, a sigh left her mouth as astrid kept her eyes on them. “ what do you want ? if you want someone to hang out with, i’m not your girl. plus, i don’t want to do anything. “
Shane tugged on the hand of the person next to him and smiled impishly. “Follow me, we’re going on an adventure~” He said softly, his smile transforming into a grin. Something about the cooler weather brought out the playful kid in him. Maybe he’d get lucky and find himself a nice snowbank to make snow angels in. The thought caused his pale skin to flush and quickly, he withdrew his hand. “Sorry.” He mumbled.
“Work, you stupid thing!” She hissed, shaking her phone as her fingertips manipulated the circuitry in an attempt to turn it on. “What a hunk of junk this thing is...” She muttered, beginning to miss the access she once had to her laptop and her smartphone. She despised burner phones and as she made her way to the payphone, she grazed her fingertips over the surface so she could make a call without charging someone or being charged, herself. Perhaps, she was cheap... Oh well. “Hi, I’d like a pepperoni and sausage pizza, extra large with extra cheese.” She looked around then, trying to find a street sign or something to identify where in the hell she was. “I’m in the fancy hotel by the car garage.” It was a cover, certainly, but she couldn’t help not wanting to give away her true location. “My number? It’s... None of your business. If you want my business, you’ll have to do this, based on trust.” She hung up the phone and slipped her burner into her pocket, not in the least bit surprised when the machine didn’t spit back any change.
brie sat on the corner of her mattress with her blanket draped over her legs, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she looked at the pocket-sized photos of her sisters that she kept with her. looking at them brought her just as much sadness as they brought her strength throughout this journey. she began to sob softly against her will, her heart breaking as she remembered once again that she couldn’t just call and see if they were okay. upon hearing someone enter her room, she immediately looked up and willed herself to replace her sadness with defensiveness. “fuck off! didn’t anybody teach you how to knock before entering someone’s room?” she spat, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand and sniffing as discretely as she could.
