I think the reason that I like the foam flinging/Nerf/etc. hobby is because the products consistently get better without sacrificing affordability, and there's nothing else out there that does that these days.

Has anyone actually been paying attention to Walmart? Like, they've been releasing good products, and then improving them based on feedback.....

They released a cheap knife that people compared to a $300 knife, so they released more variety in that same quality.

They released a rifle that was quite good and used half darts, a thing the community has been modding for years (nerf now has half as well) and the community improved it.

Then they released an updated that added many of the upgrades including the new mod tip with bearings that add spin to the dart.

They also have a half size dart, removable cylinder, safe shoot, removable extended barrel revolver to rival the Maverick, with many of the community mods integrated, and a tiny one shot that does numbers for distance.

And better goods, organic and high quality products still at decent prices. Oat based frozen cream thing? Decent ice cream replacement. The chocolate is good, the pistachio nut butter is great, and I love the fancy pizza.

It's wild.....

A friend of mine has been doing some great custom Hot Wheels (and related) toys using color-shifting paints - like you see on some actual cars - plus other flourishes that look really cool.
