I think your El in Alola comics and your top tier Guzma content made me subconsciously looking for a Pokemon character I could ship a self insert OC with, and then conveniently Pokemon released Hop with Sword and Shield, and lets just say I'd be doing what you're doing making pokemon comics if I weren't so busy
AWWWW HECK YEAH DO YOUR THING DUDE GO AND FUCKING TREAT YOSELF even if it’s just daydreams of what you COULD create, it’s still fun as heck!!
If you haven’t already gotten this question, what was the process for coming up with Violet Spark’s suit design? Did you ever use that x girl maker on doll divine like I did?
ohh! in violet’s case i didn’t use a dollmaker, but ive definitely done that for other ocs in the past! this is kind of how i got to where her design is now:
i only had her powers and color scheme planned out when i initially designed her! so i just kinda did whatever came into my head at that moment, since then ive tried to be more deliberate about my design choices haha.
Could you draw Ghostbur handing out pieces of Blue?
I wanted to draw a whole comic about it but since I’m a bit busy I didn’t have the time for it :/ Also Quackity is here bc Quackity is great :) Hope you like it

Have you heard of a game called Superliminal? There’s a character voice named Dr. Glenn Pierce, and that voice is really close to the voice I give Hatter when I read Alice and the Nightmare. It’s also similar to the voice of Mouly the donut maker from Bee and Puppycat, if you’ve seen that show. What accents/voices do you imagine your characters having?
Oooh cool!!
Truth be told I’ve always imagined him with a charlie day like voice, ever since seeing pacific rim lmao

Cute but this implies clown eggs are like hybrids of bird eggs (having hard shells) and spider eggs (containing unknown multitudes of offspring) while also implying that clowns are bird like in nature, having their offspring fall out of the egg like baby birds being pushed out of the nest to learn how to fly. Undeniably disturbing.
Nature is beautiful and clown birth is the most beautiful of all.
adventure-theorum replied to your post “I guess I wasn’t pleased with Lucas’s role because I expected him to...”
He's a kid, and Max is his first girlfriend, of course his advice is terrible
Lucas very maturely handled his budding relationship with Max last season. He went even asked his parents for advice and used it successfully. He treated her with respect and really wanted her to feel included in the group, not just his potential girlfriend.
There’s no way the Lucas of this season would have gotten Max to have her spill her guts about her family situation.
I’m not saying he couldn’t be goofy or tease her. Drinking all the water and spitting it back out for her? Probably something Lucas would do. Getting dumped 5 times by her? I can see that. “Totally tubular”. Singing with her to make fun of Dustin. All of that 100% feels like Lucas.
But implying Max of all people acts on emotions and not logic. Or that she’s a totally different species? That... just doesn’t sound like him at all. Max is probably the most emotionless tough exterior girl he knows??? And why is she a different species all the sudden? He certainly didn’t think of her that way in season 2, he treated her normally like he would any other person. In fact, she was even cooler than a normal person because she could skateboard and play games better than them.
That advice is just OOC for me. The advice he was giving at the mall was terrible, but I also think that could totally be a Lucas thing to do. “Get your girl a present, then she’ll forgive you.”
Or, maybe he’d help Mike come up with this really awkward speech that doesn’t sound like Mike at all, just like Joyce was going for Hopper.
Maybe he’d make a dumb checklist of everything he has to do to earn a girls forgiveness. That seems very in line with Lucas’s character.
But “girls are over emotional” and “totally different species?” ... Eh....
I’m not super upset about it. This is a mistake I think any character could recover from. It’s just... the writers didn’t spend a lot of time letting Lucas (or Mike) evaluate their mistakes. It was just kinda blown over. I mean, I guess kids do forget about dumb things pretty quickly.
I realized I make a lot of my characters really similar because I mainly base them off of myself. Is that a bad thing?
It’s not a bad thing, per se. As much as I’m sure you’re a lovely person, reading a bunch of characters that have all roughly the same personality isn’t that interesting.
I’m not saying you can’t have things in common with your characters. Someone inherited my love of rice Chex. Another, my love of Virginia Woolf. Someone is fastidiously clean, while another watches ice hockey. The trick is distributing these preferences, quirks or likes based on their personalities.
