oh no not at all! I appreciate the love and concern for it! I do want to get back into it I promise, but in a way that is sustainable for me and I can actually finish it, which is the dream tbh.

will we ever see alice and the nightmare continue? it's been a full year now and i miss it so much :(

short answer? a tentative “yes! hopefully!!”

long answer? I’m in the middle of moving right now, and before that I was hunting for a new place to live, and before that I was doing conventions, and before that etc etc etc etc. However before things got so busy in my spare time I was inking Alice pages, so hopefully once I’m all settled and my poor nervous system has calmed down we can get back on track. I at least want to finish chapter 10 (which is all penciled out btw!). And once that’s over I want to take a different direction with the art, something easier for me to do. I’ve done full color comics for 10 years and I want a change, and isn’t that truly what a long form webcomic is? A living document of all the styles and exploration of me as an artist?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it many times but this is a one woman show and in this economy? she can only do so much. Patience is much appreciated! Thank you!!

I've reached the point where cynicism is a major turn-off for me. You're not smarter than idealists, and you're not helping.

Funny that the stereotypical cynic is an idealist who aged out of it. In my experience, the reverse is true. I was an extreme cynic as a teenager and then I noticed how profoundly limiting it was, and also that "cynics are cool and smart" was a message that was being constantly reinforced by corporate media for some reason.

Yeah, like I see black-pilled people on here and my default reaction isn't "oh, these must be world-weary old warriors who've lost their faith in humanity", it's "these people are in their 20s and need a hobby"

I also think that the present era has proven that authoritarian leaders don't actually want a population of wide-eyed idealists, they want a population of jaded assholes who are convinced that everyone is lying, any resistance is either a scam or doomed to failure, and nothing can ever get better.

I made (or tried to make) Tomiko in tomodachi life! I made them more human since I did so for the turtles (my headcanon human designs plus the game doesn’t have a furry option anyways 😭😭) but I hope they look okay??? I’d like to think the magical necklace they’re wearing let’s them turn into their cat form when I’m not playing haha (also the Gandhi you see on the side is from clone high 👀 he USED to have a crush on Tomiko but I guess not anymore 😭)

one of my favorite types of media to experience is stuff that i know in another lifetime i would have been absolutely obsessed with as a kid/teen. going through something as an adult and being like yeah that was pretty good. however if this had made its way to me when i was 12 years old it would have fundamentally altered me and i hope it's fundamentally altering some other 12 year old out there right now. that's the good stuff.
