Fallen from grace was the stories of an early forgotten race. nothing but ash and dust in the hearts was what the galaxies would remember of them. They were peaceful people, up to the point of one with a scheme to take rule. His black heart lead one woman to be his pet, to destroy what he wanted destroyed, to kill who he wanted her to kill. He would never get his hands dirty, oh no. It was much too messy for him.
Until the pet grew a conscience.
She wasn’t like her master, she felt remorse, the very start of it. It grew and it made him sick. He attempted to put her down, but in that rage bore new life. He did not think, she would live through everything, but she had. In her chaos he took his people and made them into an army of the damned. Mindless soldiers under his finger tips, ready to erase the stars from it’s glorious painting in the sky.
But he trained his pet too well.
Present time. The human race had grown lost in fantasy and reality growing each day. The stories and myths told were nothing more to them than thoughts place on paper. Little did they know these stories were close to the truth that they had.
The small town had become something of a tourist attraction as if late. Well known for the pups and the local fireworks display At the given moment in the fall, people were readying for a festival of lights with in a weeks time. Certain foods and drinks were made only around this time and everyone found a way to get their hands on it.
Alaska was cold, snow on the ground even in the fall with the colors in the trees freshly shaded in reds, yellows, and oranges. Most homes were set off out of reach from each other. The air was cleaner, lakes, mountains taller. It was perfect for what she needed, but even now, something in the air didn’t smell right. Something was coming putting her senses on high alert.
She looked behind her, fur jacket pulled close to her despite not needing it. Blue eyes turned and looked over her shoulder swirling in different blues that adjusted to the light. She stepped into the shadows, her eyes glowing in the darkness until she closed them and disappeared from sight.
