Open roleplay
(AU rp. Steve basically needs help with functioning/doing regular things)
When Steve was pulled from the ice something was wrong. He hit his head hard and slept for 70 years… things had gotten messed up in his mind. Neurological problems along with a few other things.
Steve’s currently laying in his bed in his room in the tower, his body doesn’t work well anymore. He can’t do much for himself, though he tries to insist he can. Sometimes he struggles with his memory, occasionally has meltdowns, which he usually refuses to acknowledge happened.
Steve stares up at the ceiling, trying to will himself to get up before anyone comes in to help him, he can move his stupid leg, he can walk- Steve shifts and bites his lip frustrated, his legs feel heavy and useless. He flushes when he hears his door open. He hates that he needs help.
WAIT WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET YOU TO LEGALLY ADOPT US??? DID WE EVER GET THAT DONE?
@smarterthantonystark
I filled them out weeks ago when Tony and I started comparenting.
... @unofficially-tonystark wait... Did we do this or were those shelter animal forms? I might have been trying to mess with Peter at the time...
... I'm not getting that tie back from John.
What's he going to do with it? Keep it as a trophy? Why'd he even take it...
(( for mateo!!)) "you're like me too, huh?" his spidey-sense is going off like a car alarm the moment he bumps into this kid, and his expression changes to one of softness. "it's always nice to meet someone who gets it." hopefully this kid hasn't had to experience some of the tragedies he's had
Mateo was well aware of the multiverse. Painfully so. But he hadn't expected to meet another spider-person. Not again.
When the familiar, electric buzz of his spider-sense erupted at the base of his skull, it didn't just tingle..it roared. His muscles coiled like overwound springs, his fingers twitching at his sides. He had braced himself for a runaway symbiote, a rogue goblin, or an unstable dimensional rift.
He was not expecting this.
Standing a few feet away was someone wearing a suit that looked both alien and heartbreakingly familiar.
The black lenses on his mask narrowed. "..Yeah? Do you want a medal? A congratulations for finding me?"
The words cut through the damp alleyway air, dripping with a venom that Mateo usually saved for his worst enemies. It was harsh, perhaps, but survival in his line of work demanded a healthy dose of paranoia. Who could you trust? Especially when the multiverse is so vast, so chaotic, and so utterly unpredictable. For all he knew, this newcomer wasn't a hero at all. They could easily be a shapeshifting villain, a hunter tracking spider-totems, or an illusion designed to lower his guard before a fatal strike.
But as the echo of his harsh words faded, Mateo noticed the stranger's posture. They weren't stepping into a fighting stance. The soft, painfully vulnerable expression on the stranger's face made Mateo mentally backpedal.
Even though every instinct told Mateo to keep his guard up, he could tell now that the stranger was being entirely genuine. There was no malice in those eyes, only a friendly smile and kind eyes.
Mateo cleared his throat, the sound rough and awkward in the quiet alley. He slowly lowered his hands, letting the tension drain out of his shoulders, though he kept his boots planted firmly on the asphalt.
"I'm Mateo. Or Wolf-Spider, I guess."
The rough skin of his palm rasped softly against the short hairs at the base of his skull, fingers slipping under his mask. "Sorry for the hostility. I haven't had the best experiences with the Multiverse. Its a...long, long story. ''
