So I sleep with a bodypillow for body positioning reasons (naturally sleep on my stomach, etc. Also it helps me not scream when I sleep next to somebody because I’m Used to something being there). I hate that I have to preface this with “I’m not a degenerate” but, let me be clear. I do not fuck this pillow. This pillow is absolutely unfuckable, it is a cylinder, the pillow and I are on a friends only basis. Friendzoned pillow. But... recently I’ve been wanting to put some stuff on it to make it smell nice--it doesn’t smell bad but it’s smell neutral and I’d like at least some scent to it. Anyone have advice for how to make the scent STAY? Because I’ve been rubbing some lotion on it and all but it’s...ephemeral. Is it just...something I have to do nightly? Cuz I can roll with that but. Day 6 (4 of Bonding)

Okay so I might be wrong and it’s actually Nuffins who is the consistent complainer... It’s hard to tell them apart when they’re both in the dark but when I peeked in I think I saw some brown on the grumpy one’s head. He REALLY doesn’t like any noises when he’s in the pouch and on me (in their cage they’re fine, I think)... Maybe just because sounds wake him up though. “Kaylee” barely chatters at all unless moved around too much, and Nuffins usually calms down on his own even if I don’t do the Calming Squish move, so I get the feeling it’s more of a complaint than a “help me I’m scared!” sound...?

And unfortunately sound level can’t always be controlled so... I hope he calms down with time? Maybe I just have to keep reminding myself (constantly) that we’re only 4 days into this Bonding business and while I love them both dearly... they still don’t quite trust me completely.

Sigh.

Any ideas on how to calm a Grumpy/scared Glider besides the usual of gently squishing them with my hand (which can’t always be done due to my having a limited number of hands)?
