Firm fingers pulling at Aegis' hips, tugging him to straddle a smiling face. A long tongue parting through the folds of his valve and messily thrusting up into it. The hands gripping his aft to keep him close, encouraging him to rock against their lips. A deep voice that reverberates into his core when they're kissing him thoroughly and lapping at any fluids that drip freely from him.
Aegis' optics widen a bit and he blushes as he reads it over, squirming in his seat. Gaius reads over his shoulder and gently curls his arms around his lover's waist, nuzzling into his neck.
"Something you'd enjoy?" Gaius whispers to him.
"Well..." Aegis sets the note down, his tone guilty.
"Anyone in particular you were thinking of?"
"You. And maybe... one other mech?" Aegis turns to look at Gaius, hesitant.
Gaius nods and lightly kisses the nape of his neck, squeezing him in a delicate hug. "Of course. Just let me know what you want. You know I love watching you."
it was not your fault– at first, at least. you can not help being the way you are. and even if you could, would you choose to change? they met you with torches raised and screaming mouths, the only choice you had was to flee. but you will not stay away forever. they whisper your name in fear, and you will make sure you hurt them just as much as they hurt you.

This is pretty accurate for Aegis and he’s a little embarrassed by it. Is he really so easy to read? ...Does putting this out there mean he’s gonna get a hug?
Aegis, do you believe in love after everything you've seen?
The medic pauses at the question and puts down the stylus that he was writing with, folding his arms on the table and looking at the anon. “After everything I’ve seen? I get the feeling that you’re trying to pose that in the negative but... it’s really not. Yes, I’ve seen and experienced hardship. I’ve had my spark broken, I’ve cried more tears than I care to think about.”
He smiles warmly then and brings a hand up to cup his cheek, his gold optics shining as he fiddles a little with one of the reticles along his helm. Bringing the eyepiece down over one optic, he seems to scrutinize the text that was sent to him.
“But I’ve also been raised by a mech who adored me. Who gave me fuel when he was starving and always made sure that I was healthy and happy. I’ve seen librarians that spend extra time with mecha of all ages, finding texts that they need for their studies or just their interests and explaining things to them that they didn’t understand. I’ve seen friends that do little things for one another to lift each other’s burdens and each small act has had lasting impacts that make their lives easier and happier than before.”
His optics sting a bit and a bit of coolant gathers as he takes a vent.
“I’ve seen guardian knights setting rules that seem strict, but they’re only to ensure that everyone stays safe. Their sparks dedicated to one purpose, shining like a beacon--”
His vocodor cracks and he looks away, wiping at his optics.
What do Hivestorm, Aegis and Gaius think of other species in the galaxy?
Hivestorm is pretty ambivalent to other species, he could take them or leave them. He prefers the company of other Cybertronians with a leaning towards Insecticons and beastformers. There are exceptions though and he loves those bots to bits.
Aegis finds them fascinating and takes any opportunity he has to study them and learn about their cultures. If he hadn’t gone into medical sciences then he likely would have taken a field in xenobiology and sociology.
Gaius... he’s a city former, and keep in mind, he used to be a city made specifically to keep sparklings in. He sees small species (or even big ones) and all he can think is “Look, something for me to take care of.” He’s a big mama hen.
Gaius’ holoform appeared almost as soon as Aegis called out to him and he paused when he saw how the minibot was slumped on his berth. The datapad that he had been reading was set to the side and his optics seemed dull. Kneeling down in front of the little medic, Gaius took his hands and squeezed them softly to catch his attention.
“Aegis? What is it that you need?”
“I just--” The smaller mech felt his words catch in his throat like shards of glass and he squeezed the hands that held his like a life line. He could feel Gaius coming closer to him and shifted off the berth, pressing himself into Gaius’ chassis, clutching him. “I need--.”
Gaius waited for him to finish what he was saying but despite how much Aegis might want to push the words out they just wouldn’t come. The shipformer curled his holo around Aegis and sat on the floor with him, rocking him back and forth in an effort to help him feel better. The medic was trying to say what he wanted, barely getting syllables out and Gaius could feel the heat of vents against his holoform that left him shivering.
“No one wants…” Aegis rubbed his eyes, a bitterness in his tone that he usually tried so hard to hide. “No one wants me. I just… -need- to feel that once. Please? You offered once to get rid of my seal for me. Could you do that? I mean, you offered because you don’t mind, right?”
His vocals were breaking under the strain of heavy emotions and Gaius froze up like a petrorabbit under the stare of a hunter. But this wasn’t some predatory bot, this was tiny Aegis who loved so much and fell fast and hard for the wrong mechs. His little medic that confessed to him after a night of sweet high grade that he was finally going to tell Drift how he felt, only to hold off for a few more days until they found out about Gasket and he clammed up on his emotions so tightly it had to hurt.
“I… uh… I… can’t.”
Gasket had told him that seals were important to some bots, and initially when he offered Aegis had been so upset with him. So it had to mean something to him. He couldn’t really want Gaius to take them, he was just feeling lonely and sad and wanting comfort.
But even as he said that he couldn’t, he wished that he could take it back so he could wipe the hurt look from Aegis’ face. Under that hurt though, there was an understanding as if Aegis was resigning himself. He nodded softly and didn’t physically pull away but all the same, Gaius could feel the way that he was pulling into himself.
“I just… don’t want you to regret this. And I really think you would if we do this now.” Gaius explained as he continued to rock his little medic.
Staring up at the ceiling, Aegis vented quietly, his thighs rubbing together faintly as he tried to purge his thoughts of all the unwanted unfullfilled arousal. He couldn’t sleep, again, and being stuck in this wakeful state was making him judge himself over and over again for stupid little things. He didn’t think that he had bad taste in mechs. Truth be told, the mechs he yearned for were wonderful. Tall, bold, commanding... but unfortunately also emotionally distant or emotionally constipated or just oblivious. Good mechs with no desire for him.
Maybe he did have bad taste if he kept being drawn to those types? Not that he knew they would be like that to start off with anyways. Hell, he’d even dated Hivestorm for a while. For all the good that brought to his life.
Turning on his side, he scowled and pulled the blankets tighter around himself. He wasn’t going to do it anymore. No more getting flustered over knights or sword-mechs. He would not be pulled into another spark break.
Might as well wish for lunar base 2 for all the good that promise did him though. He had a type and he didn’t know how to break it. Maybe he could find a convent...
Aegis pondered the question for a moment, looking down into his cube of untouched high grade. He hadn’t exactly had the best of luck with partners so far, but maybe that’s because he was just going after the wrong mechs? When he was younger, despite what happened to his carrier, he’d wanted to be joined in spark with someone that loved him. He’d dreamed of carrying or siring offspring as well and having a happily ever after.
“If the right mecha came along? Yes.” He murmured, pausing to take a sip of his drink. “So …. maybe someday…”
