Aegosexual representation

I am on the ace spectrum and aegosexual. You can read more about this for instance here: https://orientation.fandom.com/wiki/Aegosexual So far, the only book I know with a bit of aegosexual representation is "Loveless" by Alice Oseman (which I can highly recommend). And I have decided to do a bit of respective representation in the free original fiction story I am currently working on. It has a low fantasy setting and the protagonist (with first person view) is a trans woman. Below the cut is an excerpt from the story (not yet edited), where the protagonist thinks about her sexual orientation, after being asked about it. (mentioning of sexual fantasies, masturbation).

„If you like sex, do you prefer to have it with men, women, people of other genders?“

Ruvy asked this in such a casual way as if she was inquiring about my favourite food.

I blushed. „I… I am not sure.“ This was the truth. I never had had sex so far. Unless one counted masturbation as sex. I sometimes had sexual fantasies, in the wee hours of the night, when I sometimes woke up, or right before sleeping. But I never saw myself in them. Instead, I fantasized about people that didn’t really exist. People from fairy tales and folklore, or even creatures that were humanoid, but were not real humans. In my fantasies, these people kissed, cuddled or had sex. And when I had these images in my mind, I liked to masturbate, during the few occasions when I was alone. And I felt that pleasuring myself like this was enough for me. I didn’t much long for having sex with someone else.

For a long time I thought everyone was having fantasies like this, until one of my brothers told me that he had fantasies about a girl from the village, picturing himself and her somewhere in nature, making out.

So I kept quiet, never telling anyone about my sensual daydreams with strangers.
