Admin rant time? I think so!
Why do roleplayers have to be so goddamned pretentious? I really want to get some members in this role play, and when I go out looking for advertisers, most of them don't except Tumblr rp's. What the hell though? It's not just advertising either. You can hardly get accepted to a role play if they don't like the FC you used on another character or the website. Why be so bigoted? We're supposed to be one great big community, but this kind of thing separates us. I'm just tired of "Oh, I RP on invisionfree websites, not tumblr. Tumblr RPers aren't hardcore," or "I roleplay on Tumblr, not Facebook. I can't take Facebook RPs seriously." Sorry, but I started on facebook! I'm not afraid to admit this. It's where I started out, and where I'll stay.
Writing is writing, it doesn't matter where it happens. If someone spills their heart out into an audition, even if I don't like it, I'll accept them. Because people need room to grow. I like to think, as an admin for a couple role plays, that I'm helping them bloom into talented writers who can think on their feat and make their way through any writer's block.
I realize I'm going off topic here, but I'm not done, by any means. Moving back to the original point. Why can't I find a decent RP advertising page that isn't a pretentious bag of wankers? What a load of bullocks though. I understand if people don't want to role play somewhere. I get that. I don't like forums. But you don't have to completely ignore the ones that use the sites you don't like.
