MUN-DAY ASKS

09: Which writer(s) inspire you? (oops this got long)//OMG SO MANY! There are so many writers here and outside of rp that make this potato sloth look up with starry eyes. When it comes to rp all partners inspire me in some way or another. But really when it comes down to my leaning towards writers it is all about the characters, their distinct style and the passion shown.

@sahlintalas inspires me with excitement for our rp and all of the ideas and expanded thoughts that come with it. I know people tend to praise the technical aspect of your writing immediately because it is wonderful obviously, but your writing inspires me because of the feeling and passion in it and the technical side next. When you write I know it’s you and it stands out with your personality and that of your muses. Each muse is different but it holds something that is distinctly you. All of Tavlin’s depth, symbolism and wonder would be nothing without your writing and creativity to inspire me and I assume it is much the same for other mun’s.

@aeluned because my god… your characters are always so in depth, unique and interesting. I would legit rp with all of your characters because I know every single one of them would prove to be a blast. All of them have such strong personalities and wide-ranging backgrounds that make sense and fit in with who they are. I feel them speaking and hear them speaking with a defined voice specific to them. Muses seem to spring from your mind so effortlessly.

@shatteredoracle Let me say I’ve always loved your writing. There is this specific flavor to it that no one else has, but it still fits your muses. You carry this quiet, calm and observant air about you that I love and it carries with your writing. I think this may factor into why your Solas has always been my favorite (and likely always will be). You stay true to your muses but the heart of your style always remains intact.

@kaaras-adaar As I have said many times, it is hard sometimes for Tavis to see anyone but Kaaras as the Inquisitor. Before you came along we looked through many Inquisitors but with a lot of them… it didn’t really show the impact of such a title, which is what the role Inquisitor is all about. Kaaras obtained the mark by chance, as all of them did, but you gave deep and profound meaning to the happenstance of the mark with a muse who could convince me he was destined for it. This is on account of your character development and writing. Kaaras is more than someone who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, this massive change in his life holds deep impact and that is something you bring to life in every thread. Honestly… now it is hard for me to even play my own Inquisitors because Kaaras fits the title so perfectly

And I don’t mean to diminish the importance of other Inquisitors in rp because they are all important and there are many who fit the title wonderfully. But there is just something about Kaaras that will always hold a place in our hearts.

There are many more honestly. People I rp with and don’t rp with.As for writers outside of rp: Neil Gaiman will always take the cake. He is my favorite forever. The man created worlds that brought me back from crippling depression and years of uninspired stagnation that made me feel lost and worthless. He reminded me that I have worlds to create as well. Aside from Neil Gaiman my favorites are Chuck Palahniuk, Garth Nix and the ancient writers of mythology.

13. How easy is it for them to approach new people? Aden is such a blunt being that he has very little difficulty approaching new people. However, that does not mean that he makes friends easily or is able to keep a conversation going. He’ll be there, make his inquiry or statement, and be gone. No real time for anxiety.
