Fire & Blood AU - Differences from the book:

Alicent is both a close friend and a lady-in-waiting to Aemma. I gave her brown hair, just like in the series and the Fire & Blood illustrations (even though Book Alicent is probably blonde).

Aemma also has brown hair because I wanted people to be confused about Rhaenyra's children. Alicent has been at court since she was twelve or thirteen.

In all honesty I’m sure when it was obvious haleana was neurodivergent like Rhaenyras maternal grandmother Alicent thought it safer to keep her close so she could prevent her death. As Daella died having Aemma alone crying for her mother. But obviously it was quite the opposite.

I wonder if anyone ever took Aemma Arryn flying.

Baelon, Rhaenys, Daemon, Jaehaerys and Alysanne were all alive and had dragons when she was brought to the keep as an 11 year old bride.

Someone must have at some point, right?

(I also have to wonder if she and her Aunt Gael were close for a time, since Gael didn't die until Rhaenyra was 2 )

Once again haunted by Aemma Arryn

I want to who was the one who told her that.

She didn't have her own mother to, Daella wouldn't have if she had lived.

Was it Alysanne? How did she feel saying those word when her mother and two of her daughters had lost that battle.

A septa?

One of her half sisters?

and when?

How old was she when told her her only purpose was to have children?

When did she realise that was what killed her mother?

Did it bring her a feeling of closeness with the mother she never knew? to share the same fate?

Aemma Arryn: The Queen we never got

Despite the short time we got with her, I love Aemma Arryn. I wish we had gotten more of her before her untimely demise; it would have given her death more meaning.
