Good luck on making friends in uni! The best thing I find is to not worry about it, and over 8 months you'd have spent enough time in a room with the same people that someone tends to stick! I was honestly worried about that myself too this year: I transferred unis after first year and was worried that everyone will already have friends, then second year was interrupted by the pandemic, third year was entirely online and then I was away on an internship and came back not knowing if my friends were even still at university... but I'm making friends again! And I'm slowly running into people I knew, and thankfully most people are quite happy to have a chat! Usually, you start talking to one person and soon, three other people will have joined you!
So I hope it goes well for you too!
Thank you! Yeah I mean it's a little like school where you see each other so often you start recognising people and talking to people just with a lecture size of 100+ rather than 30 and y'know there will be people who have dropped out, changed course, etc. So it's not that big of a deal. I'm just gonna be me and hope that's enough!
Glad it's going well for you!
