Sun and Moon | The Snow Princess and the Daughter of the Sun
(Fic under the cut; RBs always appreciated)
Radiant smile, rich dark hair.
Her doppelganger smiles while she cannot.
She's bright, sprightly with the innocence of untouched youth. Always aking questions, body diffusing with light wherever she walks. Her hands are as busy as her mouth, painting emerald fields and pastel flowers on the walls as she asked Sabrina about anything and everything.
How was the winter? Did she feel lonely? What new artworks had she made? Did the snowflake still visit her?
Sabrina whispers answers with lips that would not smile, and gazed at her with eyes bright as crystal.
The girl never seemed to age, and never feared for anything. Something about her disturbs Sabrina, a latent sense of danger akin to the one she felt with the witch. She is just a child, and yet she weilds an unnerving amount of power she isn't even aware of.
The girl takes her hand and fierce warmth burns through her icy skin. She's saying something, but her words melt into the frosty walls. Sabrina can't focus on anything else but her touch.
Power. So much untapped power. It bleeds out of the girl's chest, heady and intense and wild, and yet she seems unaware of it all.
Power. This child can free her, if she plays her cards right.
Sooner will the sun turn to ice than the winter's heart leave you.
Sun to ice.
Her voice creaks as she speaks to the girl with quiet words, each delicately formed on frost-dead lips and an icy heart, puppeteering, waiting.
A few more visits, and she will be hers.
One day, she will be free.
