Formerly of the British Army Air Corps, this Lynx AH.7 is now operated by Project Lynx and Historic Helicopters and is seen lifting off from Old Warden
X2179 was delivered to the AAC in 1983 and modified to the AH.7 standard in 1993. It saw service in Bosnia, Germany, and Northern Ireland, and provided aerial security for the 2012 London Olympics. It was retired in 2013 and subsequently restored by Project Lynx, making its public civilian flying display debut in May 2023.
