“Despite the fact that the beginning had been rather tricky and confusing, I don’t regret ever going through it if it meant that I would get the chance to getting to know you now compared to before, Clair. Before, we had never looked each other the same way as we have now, and I call that a stroke of good fortune and knowledge of one another. We share passion and the flame we have sparked keeps our sanity altogether when we are hard pressed for time from pressure.”
Although unfortunately, their families have NOT left them alone since their engagement and marriage ceremony. As if they were trying to PUSH for the both of them to produce a child already, when the fact is that all the both of them wanted to do was just to rush away from the scene for a while. Away from the masses, away from the pushing, away from the pressure and ‘disappointment’ in the tone of their family members when they did not see an heir yet.
Another moment, and the man decides to take Clair’s gloved hand into his own. A smile creases the silver Champion’s lips as he pulls it closer towards himself, inviting for Clair to do the same and take a step forward.
I have never in my life had thought of starting a family with anyone. To be honest, I think the idea scared me more than anything, because at least for me, the only person in my life that I would have failed was my father for not abiding for his wishes due to my irrational fear. However… you make me feel differently about it, Clair. You make me feel happy to look forward to it. I refuse to be my father and press anyone on matters to rush a child into the world, but when we are ready to, I would be ecstatic. It is a lot of work… but for you, I would do anything for.”
Her hand is lifted up to his lips. A bare kiss had been placed upon her knuckle before he had glanced up at her once more.
A gentle pull, his hand still holding hers, but now his arm had wrapped around her waist, and Steven had begun to sway with her.
“I have always wanted to finally dance with you like this, Clair. Underneath the stars where it is nothing but us two. Time has always eaten up both of our lives, and that’s something that CAN be maintained, but unfortunately most of the time it’s left up in the air on most occasions. All I can truly give you are moments like this where I hope you will remember them, because I never want to forget how beautiful you look underneath the stars with me.”
