The successful development of the SABRE engine is something revolutionary, but probably not so many people, as one could expect, realized that. It can finally allow the High Altitude Flight (HAF), the future both of the space and the aeronautics (that won't be neither Mars nor Iron Man :P). The BBC documentary is, as always, truly well done. The question is: why ESA is going towards the VERTA (VEGA launcher experimental&research configurations), whereas in UK, they already understood the importance of developing something really innovative, "out of the box" ?
