How long had it been since the events at Baelsar’s Wall? A few months at least.That much Papalymo was certain of. Waking up somewhere in the Black Shroud was confusing to say the least, but soon he figured out what happened and was making his way back.

Explaining it wouldn’t be easy though.

The mage didn’t even have anything really to defend himself with aside from an old bow that a certain Warrior of Light used to use. And he was still terrible at aiming with a bow so that wasn’t much help. The scion had a cloak on, so it was rather hard to tell who he was. Especially with a lack of archon tattoos now. Maybe he could get away with just hiding for now? It’s not the first time someone’s hidden after all.

A quick teleport later and he was safely in Ishgard. The plan was simple: go to skysteel manufactory and speak to the guildmaster there. Get a weapon and try to figure out some way to explain this.

It wasn’t that simple though, as while he was lost in thought he stumbled into someone.

{❧} ---- “Apologies I-”

Several problems at once happened.

First, his voice sounded the same.  Secondly, the person he walked into was Y’shtola.  Third, he wasn’t sure if she’ll realize it’s him or not.

Time to be less formal.

{❧} ---- “I didn’t see you there. Sorry.”

Eorzea. That was the name of this land, the sound of it strange against his ears, on his tongue. He blinked as he repeated it, a whisper to himself, trying to adjust. Another land was hardly where he expected to be. He should be dead. Sin was defeated. Wasn’t it? And yet, this was hardly the farplane. This was someplace else entirely.

Had something gone wrong? He couldn’t have said.

He’d been traveling for days. It was only after he’d mentioned being a summoner, off hand, that someone had paid him any mind. They’d pointed him in the right direction. At least, that was the claim.

And so now, he waited, nervous. He was exhausted, too, in truth. Perhaps, though, someone could help him, tell him what was going on, at last.

He could certainly, quietly, hope.

It wasn’t often that Papalymo would end up falling asleep at a table in the middle of the day, but here he was, asleep at a table. Who knows what caused the mage to be so tired, but there he was. Sleeping the day away thanks to exhaustion. Upon hearing the other’s footsteps, he opened his eyes and sat up. He looked up to see who it was while he slowly woke up.
