Lillie nodded, “I can tell, but there’s no need for that.” She parted a few of her braids to reveal the small Pichu with the mangled ear who nervously held onto one of Lillie’s braids-which was really to be expected. “This is Sparkle. She’s a rescue from a notorious poacher by the name of Garrett Vack.”
“Maybe he can sit on someone later,” she decides, distracted enough by whatever is hiding in Lillie’s locks. The small Pichu pokes her head out and Charlie waggles her fingers in a small wave at her. “Well, hello Sparkle.” She leans back to look at Lille. “Did you rescue her?”

Alola, a beautiful region filled with new and interesting Pokémon. It was always so warm and sunny with near-perfect beaches and a very interesting culture; a perfect place for a vacation! That is, of course, if you were able to withstand the warm sun.
Unlike Red, who was currently sitting against a tree combating Heat Exhaustion with his tired Growlithe laying flat like a loaf beside him. Should have brought along more water, he thought to himself as he looked at the empty water bottle in his hand. He and his companion had gone through two each already during the short exploration trip, and if Red remembered correctly he only had one left in his bag.
A groan left him as he tilted his head back against the tree trunk. Why did Alola have to be so hot? Maybe if he hadn’t spent so much time up on a freezing mountain top he’d be fine now... Or, maybe if he had brought less dark clothing and a lighter Dust Mask he’d be fine. Course, he’d probably just use the first excuse.
“Brrowf...!”
Red was tugged away from his thoughts of how hot it was, looking down to his Growlithe who was now standing guard and looking forward. Did he see something? Following his Growlithe’s line of sight, Red found himself looking at a younger trainer. Were they there long? Were they looking at him? Red narrowed his eyes into a squint in an attempt to see in the bright sun. God damn Alolan sun...
“... A... Alola...?”
@aetherra rebloged for a starter. The feelers of its head prickled and and sparked with fear, while it didn’t catch any traces of ultra space from the boy, it caught scent of something that terrified it far, far worse. It smelled the the beast killer. It tried to hide its self deeper in the alolan foliage, tail drooped and body low to the ground.
