@aetherra rebloged for a starter.
The feelers of its head prickled and and sparked with fear, while it didn’t catch any traces of ultra space from the boy, it caught scent of something that terrified it far, far worse. It smelled the the beast killer. It tried to hide its self deeper in the alolan foliage, tail drooped and body low to the ground.
((Going with the headcanon that some ultra beasts escaped when Mohn disappeared and the au that Lillie and Gladion escaped at the same time.)) Gladion looked around curiously, calling out Type: Null since he and Lillie had ran away instead of just him. She had begged and pleaded for her to come with and he acquiesced, allowing her to come with him on the condition that Cosmog, or Nebby, as she called it, be kept in her bag. The eight year old was now on his guard. “Let’s go check out what that noise is, Null.” He said as Type: Null sniffed curiously at the ground for a moment before letting out a cry signalling that it had smelt something or someone. It rushed into the direction of the smell.
Its back arched not unlike a scared cat, backing away quickly as it heard Nulls cry, turning and breaking into a full on fours sprint when it ran nearer to it. It was absolutely terrified of what would happen if the beast killer actually caught it. Harsh electric pulses and crackles now instinctively emenated from its head.
Type: Null ran even faster since the ultra beast had fled. It was going to put their young master’s worries to rest. Gladion was running after Type: Null after waking up Lillie who sleepily followed.
Seeing the killer get nearer and nearer, it sent a series of discharges in its wake. If not defeating null, it would at least slow them down enough that the beast could get away.
Type: Null dodged the shots, running quick enough to stop the Ultra Beast, sitting atop it and preventing further attempts at escape. The Beast Killer had caught its prey, but made no move to kill it unless ordered. Gladion and Lillie caught up, Lillie was sleepily rubbing at her eyes. She looked up though. “Is that a pokemon, Null? It’s okay, I won’t hurt you…” She stepped up, moving to pet the beast, “You’re so huge and lightningy. Like a big electrical cord pikachu!” “Lillie be careful, we don’t know what its capable of.” Gladion said, “It could mean to hurt us.”
Despite its larger size of the beast, it frantically struggled and squirmed under it captor. It made a series of cries, terrified that they would end the poor ultra beast. The fear made it disregard, or rather not even notice the siblings words, not that it would understand them anyways.
