The military was an interesting place, with this came different coping mechanisms be it working out till you drop or something else it was easy to dismiss what you'd see as long as the individual was coping.

As the Captain of the taskforce Price was acutely aware of how his team coped. (Mainly so he could help if needed and in some other cases so he knew that his family team were actually coping and not just ignoring their issues. Simon trained. He trained until he couldn't anymore which was when Soap would step in and comfort him. A lot of Soaps coping came from being able to comfort Simon, he thrived at being able to help his friends. And Gaz, well Gaz regressed and Price looked after him as his Caregiver.

That was probably why after a particularly hard mission on the helicopter ride back Price instantly noticed something was wrong. You had been awufully reserved, normally you'd be chatting with the team but that wasn't the case today. Originally everyone brushed it off as you just being tired, it wasn't unbelievable. The mission had been difficult, exhausting.

After a while of your had clumsily lolling to the side, bumping the wall of the hellicopter Price decides to speak up.

"Are you feeling okay Soldier..?"

"Fine Cap'tin..." You mumbled.

That had got everyone's attention. Even when tired you never slurred your words like that. It's then that it hits Price. You were regressing. Well actually more like you were regressed. He was used to this in his team, it was a coping mechanism that he had learnt briefly about before joining the military however upon Gaz struggling Price had learnt more so he would be able to help.

Price's tone turned fatherly (as though he didn't permanently sound like a dad)

"Are you feeling small..?"

You normally always shut down when you felt like this, it was easier to just sleep it off. Although you were well aware that it didn't really work.. You shrug wordlessly.

The others had been watching this interaction take place. Soap moved from where he had been sitting with Ghost, kneeling down infront of you. There was a gentle smile plastered on his face.

"Well what do we 'ave here? Jus' a wee little one?"

"Think that might be the case Johnny" Ghost replies, his voice somewhat softer than usual, although if you had been an outsider watching you'd never have noticed the slight change in tone.

Price got up and headed to the front of the helicopter, quickly conversing with Nikolai. When he came back he addressed everyone letting them know that it wouldn't be too much longer before you'd all be back at base.

It was now Gaz's turn to speak.

"Has this happened to you before kiddo?"

You nod but don't speak.

"Okayyy, do you have any items back at base?"

You give a confused head tilt, confused on what he meant by items"

"..things like plushies, paci's, colouring books.. things like that?"

This time you gently shake your head. Ghost sighs, he understands that...

Price then speaks up again.

"Well then we'll just have to change that, now won't we Sweetheart?"

Simon was still getting used to accepting his regression. Now the team were incredible when it came to showing support, even if that was just in the form of also regressing and being protective over Simon as they regressed older, showing him that it was okay to do so. However he just wasn't comfortable.. it didn't matter happen times he was told that "it's okay" he couldn't, wouldn't believe it.

It had been a particularly rough mission. Both Gaz and Soap were surprisingly not regressed however both men had decided that after the drawling mission that they definitely wanted a shower and to go to bed. Ghost wasn't exactly in that situation though. God how much did he want to though. He was sat in his room, gear still on. He rocked back and forward on his bed, dirt and grime crumbling onto the once clean sheets.

Price always checked on the boys after missions. And so after checking on both Kyle and Johnny he knocked gently at Simon's door.

"Ghost? You alright in there?"

A quiet and muffled sob could be heard from behind the door. That was all Price needed to step into his room, quickly closing the door, Simon wouldn't want anyone to see him in this state. Price slowly crouched in front of the crying boy.

"Simon.. buddy.." He paused with a small sigh before speaking again. "Can we get you out this vest..? You don't want all this icky uniform on right now do you?"

Simon nods slowly, lifting his arms in a way to signal that he wanted help. Price chuckled a little before helping him. By the time Simon was dressed into a hoodie (of Soaps) and some joggers he had calmed down a little.

"Do you wanna watch a movie in the living room bud?" Price could deal with the dirty sheets at a different time, right now his priority was keeping Simon calm. The taskforce had a designated living room area so Price was confident that noone other than taskforce members would be able to access the room.

Simon nods and after a bit of coaxing and the two ended up on the sofa.

Simon ended up choosing to watch The Good Dinosaur. As the colourful movie played on the screen Price reached into his pocket and pulled out a plain black pacifier offering it to the small boy. Simon whined, his eyes said he wanted nothing more than to use the Paci but he also couldn't bring himself to use it, he couldn't bring himself to be that vulnerable. Even despite trusting Price with his life.

"Hey Si.. I have an idea.." and so Price proposes the idea of using the pacifier but behind his mask, almost as though using it as a safety blanket. After a moment of thinking about it Simon nodded and slowly took the pacifier from Price's hands, placing it in his mouth and adjusting his mask to make sure it was fully hidden. He ended up nodding off about half way into the film, Pacifier resting in his mouth discreetly.

It was a small step forward in getting Simon to accepting his regression for what it was, a healthy coping mechanism that helped him greatly...

You loved your caregiver, Loki. With all your heart however you had come across a slight issue as you were at a stage where you wanted to call Loki a nickname but your were not sure which one to use. You were aware that Loki was genderfluid so you didn't want to make them uncomfortable however you really wanted to find a nickname that worked.

After about a week or so of contemplating on what to nickname to use you sat down to have the serious conversation (you even served tea.)

"I wanna give you nickname but dont know what one.." you said looking down.

"What do you mean baby..?"

"So you like daddy or mummy..?" You asked trying to be more confident in your self.

"Oh.. well why don't you use the nicknames for what I'm presenting as. So if I am a man call me daddy and if a woman call my mummy? Does that work..?" He suggested.

It hadn't taken long however for you to get a bit confused.

Snape was observant. He was praised by Dumbledore for this as it made him a great professor, despite if his students liked him or not.

Within a few lessons of teaching you he knew you were not like everyone else in the class. He had noticed your legs swinging under the desk, he noticed how your eyes went wide anytime something happened to a potion in class, almost a child like glee.

He even noticed the small plushy that sat in your bag, hidden just enough for no-one to see it except you. And well him.

Snape quickly figured put that you were an age regressor and had no difficulty approaching you on the topic. So after class one day he pulled you aside and once everyone had left he questioned you.

He asked if anyone was looking after you and after finding out the answer was no he offered,

Claiming it unsafe for a little to be roaming Hogwarts without supervision of some kind.

It had been months since then and Snape had become your caregiver. He was amazing at it. Considering he seemed so strict it was shocking to find out that he had a caring side too.

Exams were rapidly approaching and there had been no time for you recently to regress, studying in any free time you had.

You were now sitting at your desk in potions, leg bouncing, biting your nails anxiously.

You wanted nothing more than to be small right now. To go over to Snape and ask for a hug.

Once again Snape was observant and didn't take long for him to realise that you had slipped. Clearly not intentionly. That wasn't the issue though, the issue lied in you currently trying to carry on with the lesson. You were using dangerous things whilst little.

Snape decided that you could be doing that so he stood at the front of the classroom, gaining everyone's attention.

"Since so many of you are getting this wrong I will do an example."

Everyone was confused, Professor Snape never did examples.

He went to stand by you and took the ingredients from your hand mumbling at you to sit down a seat over so he could stand where you were. You nodded and Snape proceeded to do the Potion.

Everyone got back to their places and continued there own potions as Snape turned to you.

"Please stay after class.."

Class ended shortly after and you approached Snapes desk.

"Are you okay?" Was the first thing he asked.

You nodded carefully, not making eye contact.

"We spoke about this didn't we. I told you if you were little you could not do potions. Its dangerous."

You nodded again.

He carefully pulled you into a hug, noticing you were tearing up.

"... your not in trouble kiddo. You need to understand that you could of got hurt, okay?"

"Y-yea"

"Okay. Well your too small to go to your next class, I will tell your next professor. You will stay here and you can do some colouring for now, yes?" He spoke.

"Okay!!"

And with that you spent the rest of the evening up until dinner in Snapes classroom colouring whilst he graded work.

See the thing about living on a ship or any kind of way to travel through space is that certain things aren't always reliable. Such as forms of heating and lights. Space was already cold and when the heating stops working it gets even colder. Kylo has a stack of blankets for moments like that however. This wasn't something that Kylo was particularly prepared for... A blackout...

You had been sat in Kylo's quarters, colouring quietly sitting on the floor, whilst Kylo was wandering around the ship. He had some work to do.. you hadn't been left alone for long. Kylo was going to finish up his conversation with General Hux and then planned to come straight back. However when he noticed the lights starting to flicker he ran off before his conversation had ended.

Running back to his quarters he quickly opened his door, shutting it shortly after entering.

"Bubs..?" As he spoke the lights went out fully.

You were instantly upset and scared... It was dark and you no longer felt completely safe...

"You're okay Sweetheart.. would you like a hug..?"

You made a quiet noise of agreement.

Kylo gently took you into his arms, hugging you securely.

"Your okay baby... The lights will come back on soon... How about we go and sit down on the bed, huh? We can play with some of your stuffies..?"

A small nod was all he needed to move the both of you over to his bed. With the two of you sat their he reached over to pick up two plushies, passing one to you and holding one for himself.

The two of you came up with several games to pass the time with your plushies, It hadn't taken long with his games distracting you before the lights had turned back on.

"Well would you look at that" he says, with a bright smile.

It was always ironic when you had issues such as this... Scared of the dark.. your Caregiver leading the first order.. the dark side... Both you and Kylo always had a giggle when thinking about it..

You couldn't help it, normally you'd try to suppress your stims but you had just got so incredibly excited when Hobie had told you that he wanted to take you to a concert.

When he told you, you began to squeeze your hands in and out of a clutched position.

Oh. Hobie was having absolutely none of this.

"Oi! Why dont you mind your own biz man!" He called out, making sure that the stranger knew their place.

Hobie gently took your hand and moved you away from the hurtful name calling.

"Hey bud can you look at me please?"

You looked up slowly.

"Heya my little anarchist, it's all right to Stim. You know that right."

Nodding you smiled slightly.

"I mean it okay Kiddo?"

"Mhm..."

"okay! Well now that's sorted let's go do something fun!!"

Hobie knelt down and patted his back (from over his shoulder)

"hop on bug. We're going to the park!" He said with a big smile.

"really?!"

"absolutely!!"

The two of you had the best time at the park and then went home and watched cartoons until you fell asleep, knowing that Hobie would always be there to help when others had things to say.

You were currently sat at your desk. It was one of the rare days that the bau were in the office, working on paperwork.

You'd been slipping all day and we're finding it increasingly difficult to focus on the folder that sat currently in front of you.

The bau were unaware that you were a regressor. Well apart from Spencer Reid and Aaron Hotchner. They both knew. They had become your caregivers.

Hotch was the first to know after he found you in a cupboard in a hotel after a particularly hard case involving children, he'd noticed how upset you'd been during the case and was originally going to just check up on you, but upon finding you crying, with a pacifier in your mouth he'd had a change of plans. He spent that evening watching over you and then proceeded to approach you on the topic in the morning when you were no longer small.

Spencer had found out soon after. He was good at profiling and had noticed your childlike innocence. He spoke to Hotch who in turn spoke to him about the situation, asking Reid not to mention this to anyone else.

Soon after that interaction there was an incident where you had slipped at work. Hotch was too busy to be able to watch you so Spence volunteered. You ended up having lots of fun with him. And so from that point on both Hotch and Spencer became your caregivers.

Spencer approached you slowly.

"Sweetheart you feeling small..?" He asked you quietly.

You looked up panicked.

"it's okay sweetie.. it's just dada.."

You nodded, tears in your eyes.

"oh it's okay bub.. Do you wanna go see Daddy??"

You nodded again.

Spencer gently took your hand in his own and led you to Hotch's office, knocking gently on the door.

A simple "come in" from Hotch was all it took before Spencer guided you into the room.

"Reid?? What's wrong??" Hotch asked upon seeing you holding his hand.

"They slipped whilst doing some paperwork and I thought it would be best for them to calm down and be regressed in here instead of in the open.." Spencer spoke looking to Hotch.

Hotch gently hugged you.

"do you want to do some colouring kiddo?"

You nodded eagerly.

Aaron took your hand from Reid.

"can you go get their regression bag from the boot of my car??"

"of course"

Reid left to go get your bag whilst Hotch got you settled on the couch in his office.

"now daddy has to carry on working but I'll be in here with you, yeah?"

"mhm.."

"okay Sweetheart."

Reid came back quickly, knocking on the door and then slipping in. He placed the bag down next to you and kissed your forehead.

"I'm going to get back to work before the others start asking questions. Have fun okay bub?"

"okii dada!!"

"okay Reid."

You and Hotch answered.

You ended up colouring 4 different pictures, you chose to do two for each of your caregivers. Labeling 'dada' and 'daddy' on the respective colourings.

Hotch decided to drive both you and Spencer back to Reid's house.

Hotch made you dinner whilst Spencer sat with you reading.

You fell asleep calmly knowing that your caregivers would always be there to help you when needed.
