At the bottom of the suitcase is a formal suit his Dad picked out. Attached to it is a note.
Hey, champ-in-the-making!
I know you don't have anything really formal, and I figured there's probably going to be formal dances and stuff there. So I got you this! It's modeled after something one of the Elite Four made popular. Specifically, Grimsley. I think it'd look good on you.
Have fun, and don't do anything too crazy.
Love,
Dad
Yuuta smiles as he reads the message. Good ol' Dad. He's somewhat surprised to find that it fits perfectly. Maybe that's why Dad had him visit that one tailor back in... one of those cities where the castle had gone to.
The thought doesn't cross his mind until he's pretty much at the door. Ignoring it like a champ, he walks into the ballroom. All these strangers... and a group of people he knows. He quickly rushes over to say hi to Dip and Kaiva.
>Yuuta: Be in the eye of the maelstrom.
This would be a lot more comfortable for him if it was something like a fighting tournament. He knows how to socialize during those. But this? This is way fancier than anything he's ever done. He follows Kaiva's lead in dancing, gets tangled up in a large amount of drama that he can barely follow (again, the environment's more to blame than the drama), and eventually gets back to his room. He's not crazy enough to take on a Senior Elite by himself, but he can think of a few things that could possibly be good things to do.
>Yuuta: Implement Idea.
Yuuta pops open one of his Poké Balls. Out comes a Duskull. "Mort, I want you to go into stealth mode and hang out in the cafeteria. And when Draven orders his next meal, I want you to swap it with something... I dunno. Super-spicy. Loads of tabasco, ghost chili powder, if you can find other things that are just loaded with spice add those in too. Make the meal so hot it warms the plate a little." The little Duskull gives a salute before turning invisible and flying off to the kitchens.
>Yuuta: That's not a very good plan.
There are worse plans out there. And he never said all his plans were good. Still, this one might be entertaining to watch.
