GOD YEAH i literally think about this all the time. the song is already devastating as hell on its own because of the lyric and honestly the music itself too is so. heartaching. and patrick singing it with all of the passion and emotion he usually puts into a song, fob playing it and putting their own twist on it?? petes lyrics being put in a fob song where they Belong? it would be like. gutting. it would be one of their best songs i mean this so so seriously. my wildest fob fantasy is they record and release their versions of every v&v song pete wrote

the members of fob are so gender

they all are and in different ways and they make me wanna scream bc i wanna be them all So Bad

like Patrick's got that masculine sophistication to him and he's also got that like. softness around the edges and he's so handsome and AGH

and then pete's got that ever-so-slight gender nonconformity and his taste for fashion is outlandish and like. markedly queer, in a way? at least to me. like the vibes are there even if he isn't queer himself (which i don't think there's even been a clear answer to that but its also none of our business quite frankly)

and then joe is so effortlessly hardcore and comfortable like. he's just wearing what he wants and looking how he wants and he doesn't have to try at ALL which just results in him having this awesome, handsome presence and it comes off him in waves

and then andy's aesthetic and presentation is just AWESOME he's all black clothes and tattoos and edges and sharp lines and strength i'm obsessed andy is arguably the coolest member of fob just bc like. duh.

in summary i want to steal their genders. all of them i want to Have them.

Dude Jet Pack Blues is one of my favourite songs like I love it so much. The lyrics the fact that the beginning is soft but the chorus hits HARD I love Jet Pack Blues

ME FUCKIN TOO!! patrick's delivery is always fantastic but esp in jpb like...the sadness of the first verse and then he busts in with the chorus and it's louder and he's angry but the loudness isn't jarring with the rest of the song and still fits so well, and then keeps up with the almost like, quiet frustration in his voice in the second verse and pre chorus and he goes back to being mad in the chorus, then when he gets to the bridge he sounds so dejected and like he's lost all the fight in him and they he goes right back to the chorus like one last hurrah and then the song ends just with that ...god it is such a good song and wow i probably paid way too much attention to his vocals lmao. i feel like it really shows off his and petes dynamic as well bc like, the delivery of a line really makes it but then again, when the line is good you want to give it the delivery it deserves and that's what patrick does bc petes lyrics are so good!! but also patricks voice and delivery is so good that it makes petes lyrics even better and wow this went off track

I ADORE Jet Pack Blues. You think it's gonna be a calm song but then the chorus Hits <3 And it's also sad but so beautiful ??? She's singing baby come home in a melody of tears while the rhythm of the rain keeps time. Did you ever love her? Do you know? 10/10 fob song <3

ur soo right ugh i love how jet pack blues starts out all calm and then the chorus hits and its like a kick to the gut how Sad and hauntingly beautiful it all is? like the longing and regret and Grief in the lyrics and in his voice is almost too much for me </3
