Can you please give some advise to people starting a new blog?? It sucks when your new.
Hello. In the beginning it requires a lot of patience…also having original work helps (your own gifs and photo edits, etc) finally the tagging is also important. For example when it comes to bollywood the 3 most popular tags are : bollywood, bollywood2 and bollywoodedit. use them in the first 5 tags and it will show up on search. You can also tag your favourite blogs and maybe they will check it and reblog your stuff. A nice, clean theme also helps to catch ppl’s attention. But back to nr 1: a lot of patience….

I would suggest the following tips:
Choose a name for your blog that relates to the topic and should be easy to remember and spell.
Make use of the Tumblr themes and choose one that fits your Tumblr blog. If you are planning on becoming a fan blog where you are updating your audience content relating to a celebrity, take benefits of fan site themes. For reference, you can check @theme-hunter for ideas.
Make sure your theme has a link to “ask me anything” built into your theme
Once you have uploaded the content, tagging is important if you want the content to be visible by the Tumblr family. Generally, the first 5 tags will show up in Tumblr tags. Say you made a post about Alia’s photo shoot, you would want to tag the following: bollywood2, photoshoot, alia bhatt. Just to give an example.
Do take an advantage of tagging your content with popular blog’s name [only if they are comfortable with it]. Do not be afraid to ask the blog if they are okay with tagging your work. Going back to the example, you had bollywood2, alia bhatt, photoshoot as your first three tags, you can also tag princessbhatt, dailybollywoodqueens as they will check the tag and reblog the content.
Take advantage of connecting your blogs to your social networks as it creates more audience for your blog.
