Prompt: Uninvited Attraction
Note: I don't think I am coming back just yet, but this has been sitting unfinished in my drafts for a while, so I finished it off today, almost 2k words wow, that is long for me. @affinitytales come read pookie 😔.

Fighting Eggman was becoming of a chore than anything to Sonic. Same robots just slightly different everytime, same dialogue everytime. It was getting very dull.
There was a distant explosion and Sonic groaned. He was having a great doze under one his favourite trees, and now it was ruined. He got up, yawned before he sped off to the source of the noise.
There he was, Eggman stood on his flying machine.
"Ah ha! There you are, I was wondering when you would turn up."
Sonic sighed, doing a few stretches.
"Alright Egghead, let's get this over with, I have things to do today."
"How foolish of you to assume that this is any other fight hedgehog, I have decided that being by myself is no longer-"
"You have realised that you have no friends, took you long enough." Sonic cut in cheekily as Eggman sputtered.
"No! I don't need friends, and that is not the point!- ahem... I have secured myself an ally."
Sonic scoffed, before replying.
"Yeah right, the only ally you can 'secure' is a robot you built."
Eggman smirked before calling out.
"Y/N! Get down here, or where ever you are!"
Sonic let a snicker, clearly not believing him, before rolling into a ball and spin dashing up to Eggman. But before he could made it, a shadowy figure appeared seemingly out of nowhere, and kicked him back to the ground.
Sonic quickly got up in surprise and looked up to see you crouching on Eggman's machine.
"Sonic, meet Y/N, who is definitely not a robot!"
You slowly stood up, revealing yourself to be indeed be a mobian with some kind of mask on your face, you kinda looked like Whisper with that mask but evil version.
While Sonic's thoughts whirled, Eggman muttered to you.
"Prove your worth."
You nodded briskly, and quickly jumped down, surprising Sonic again though he moved away before you could tackle him.
"Ha! Another surprise, but that won't be enough to defeat-" Sonic exclaimed before you surged forward, successfully tackling him.
"Stop talking." You hissed in his ear, revealing yourself to be female. Sonic stilled for a moment, uncharacteristically stunned by you not letting him finish his speech, before he grinned.
"Three." And then moved forward so that was free from the tackle and surged back to you, you stayed still. Then out of nowhere, you seemingly melted into the ground and disappeared. Sonic skidded to a stop, looking away trying to get his bearings.
He was then shoved to the ground again, he saw you for a spilt second before you disappeared again.
He wiped his nose before turning around and around, this time he saw you pop up of a shadow before disappearing again when he saw you.
'Hm, shadow teleporting? That is kinda co-'
His brief distraction proved a bad idea, as you once again managed to tackle him, successfully pinning him, causing Eggman to shout in victory above them.
"I was expecting more from you Blue Blur." You simply said, clearly not one for talking.
Sonic didn't know why, but that really urked him. The newest villian in town didn't think he was impressive? No way would he let that slide.
He suddenly sat up, forcing you off him and spindashed onto you, but you quickly teleported back into the shadows.
"Come on! Show yourself and fight me if I am so unimpressive to you!"
He thought for sure that would work, but there was no sign of you. He glanced up at Eggman who looked just as confused.
"Conversing is a weakness on the battlefield hedgehog."
Was the last thing Sonic heard before he heard himself grow still without wanting too.
He looked down rapidly, and saw that his own shadow was wrapped around his body. He struggled, or well tried to struggle but he was completely paralysed neck down. His body fell to the ground without any balance and he got a face full of dirt.
"Too easy." He heard this unknown villian mutter, before Eggman started wooping above him. He tried to cran his neck up to look up, before he felt arms sit him up to see the man.
"Haha! Finally I have caught Sonic, after all of these years."
"No, you haven't." He heard the female villain say behind him.
"Uh, What do you mean?!" He yelled down with a furrowed brow.
"I have, the hedgehog is mine." You simply said, picking him up by the scruff of the neck.
"Calm down you two, there is enough Sonic to go arou-" Sonic started, trying to make light of his dire situation.
"Shut it." You spoke, making his shadow curl up further around his mouth.
"I thank you for your very small part in his capture, but I believe the 'Blue Blur' is-." You, ironically, got cut off this time as suddenly Amy, Knuckles and Tails appeared.
"Sonic!- what are?-" Amy shouted, but you didn't let Sonic hear the end. Quickly, you pulled him to your chest, and with a simple hand over his eyes, you sunk into the shadows below, taking him with you.
Sonic didn't know how long his eyes were covered, but when he reopened them, he was in an unfamiliar room.
Sonic squinted, and while he could barely see you because of adjusting eyes. He tried to speak but forgot his mouth was still covered.
"What?" You asked, turning around to look at him, he waggled his eyebrows and looked down at the shadow covering his mouth.
"Probably going to regret this but fine." You said, flicking a hand towards him as the shadow curled down from his mouth back down to his torso.
"Why thank you, and yes you will." He said charismatically, a scoff being your only answer.
There was a brief silence, as you tinkered with something he couldn't see.
"Sooo.... what is your deal anyway? Why are you working for Egghead of all people?-"
"-I wasn't." You cut in before continuing.
"I was simply using him to get to you without having to form the technology and waste energy on chasing you down; He was just dumb enough to believe I wasn't going to backstab him."
"Get close to me huh? You a secret admirer or something?" Sonic spoke, a smirk growing on his face.
"No."
"Sounds like something a secret admirer would say."
"You are not going to have the face to be admired if you don't be quiet." You spoke with annoyance now, holding a hand out and clenching your fist, making the shadows tighten around him.
"Ow, ok, ok, you aren't a secret admirer!" He sputtered out, wincing in pain.
You hummed, letting the shadows loosen.
"You got a kink for hurting me or something?" Sonic said before he could stop himself.
Despite the mask covering your face, he could tell you were in complete disbelief.
"Wha- do you have a death wish or something? I could squeeze the life out of you right now and you just keep quite literally toying with Death, how stupid are you?"
You spoke with a mix of disbelief and frustration, pacing your way over to him and grabbing his neck and forcing his head against the wall behind him.
"...I think- that answers my question heh." He croaked out, his eyes teasing despite the situation.
You tilted your head and followed his gaze to your hand, and hastily took your hand off his neck.
"Rack off." You turned your head away from him.
Sonic now noticed that the shadows (shadow?) around him had loosened around his neck with your distraction.
He quickly surged his head forward and head butted your lower face.
You took a few steps back in shock as the shadows tightened around him instinctively.
Then you took off your mask, and tossed it to the ground, turning away from him and holding your hand against your bleeding (probably) lip.
Sonic wiggled, trying to escape but unable too still. Darn he thought the shadow controlling thing was in the mask, but nope.
Then suddenly you turned around, deciding to show your face, holding your now bleeding lip, and simply said.
"You got some nerve hedgehog."
Sonic cursed under his breath, because omg you are hot. Of course you are, why wouldn't the world send such a pretty face to be his newest enemy to fight against? Just his luck.
You raised an eyebrow at his stunned expression.
"What? Never seen a woman before?"
"Of course I have, just not one that looks this gorgeous with a bleeding lip." Sonic charmed, giving you a wink.
"Now who has the weird kink." You muttered under your breath, though the discreet broken eye contact didn't go unnoticed.
Rumbling and shouting outside caught both of your attention.
"Would you look at that? you distracted me long enough for your friends to come looking, most likely from making Eggman talk. Impressive." You spoke, looking unbothered.
Sonic, for a reason he wasn't sure of, grew warm under your approval.
"You know, I was going to kill you, right here and now, but... I have decided to be gracious."
You made your way over to him, picking up your mask as you did, before plucking a quill out from his head.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"Research hedgehog, can't let you leave with all of the glory now can I?" You said, for the first time, Sonic heard a tone that wasn't stern or monotonous. You sounded... playful?
"Wha-" He started before you flicked a hand to him again, and the shadows around him disappeared.
"Go, I am smart enough to know I can't win against how many of your friends are coming now."
Sonic stood up and stretched as you put your mask back on.
"Not allowing me to say goodbye to a pretty face huh?"
"Really? Still... teasing? Do you ever stop?" You said, the hesitation before the word teasing not going unnoticed.
"Course, who do you think I am?" He said, knowing he was in way too deep with this game that had only just begun.
"An idiot." You spoke, putting the quill in a pocket on your side that he hadn't noticed before.
"I am gonna need that ba-" He started before you sunk into the shadows again without warning.
Sonic felt himself let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, that was... something. He didn't even get your name, well apart from the one time Eggman shouted it- Eggman! His friends!
Sonic quickly whirled around, and ran out of the cave, just to narrowly miss Amy.
"Sonic! There you are, he is over here!" She shouted, Tails and Knuckles coming over from other places near there.
"What happened? Who was that person that had you?"
"...Safe to say there is a new villian in town, oh and she took one of my quills, should we be worried?"
"...Yes Sonic we should be." Tails said with a weary sigh.
"I mean, she didn't seem that bad-"
"Wait a minute, she? Urgh don't tell me you like her." Knuckles said with a scrunched up face.
"No! Of course not, she just didn't seem that evil, definitely not afraid to get her hands dirty though."
"Whatever you say... simp."
"Alright! That is enough you two, let's just go home." Amy spoke up, before Sonic could bicker back.
"Fine." Both Sonic and Knuckles said as all four started to make their way home. Not before Sonic took one last glance at the cave behind them. Something told him, that wasn't the last of her, and he would admit to only himself; that he wasn't complaining.
