How do the different regions compare to each other? Are any considered more rural or developed?
Hoenn is kinda seen as the backwater region, being a tiny isolated continent and all.
Brendan and co. are really self-conscious about their work because mainland researchers like to pooh-pooh Hoenn researchers and their findings all the time.
Part of the reason Robin is so flippant is because Robin comes from one of the more ‘modern’ cities on the mainland and assumes everyone in Hoenn is a stupid hick.
