a-forgotten-dreamer started following you
Looking up from his revision notes as a slight sound reached his ears, he smiled at the stranger, standing up and watching her with friendly eyes. "Sorry, I didn't see you there. Hello! I'm Toby" he greeted her, apologetically at first, and then enthusiastically.

Oh! More people, hullo. Have any of you seen a friend of mine, about the size of my hand, sparkly yellow, a little homicidal, answers to Tink?
Yeah, sure, everyone go cozy on up with the beast that ate my shadow.

♬ Pretend (Reprise) by Lights
After many years away from Neverland, Wendy had finally grown up and Peter Pan had forgotten all about her, for the Eternal Boy had many stories following the Darling's leave and Wendy was merely a chapter of his novel.
Wendy, however, never forgot Peter, like the boy had insisted she would upon her growing up, because she would tell his story as often as possible to anyone who would listen. Mostly, she'd tell her daughter, Jane.
Jane loved her mother's stories, but often during bedtimes, would insist on telling her own, which were always, without fail, about Peter Pan. In her stories the Wonderful Boy fought more than Pirates and Indians, for they had all disappeared according to Jane.
Now Peter fought Roarers, which were Lost Boys who'd grown up and rebelled against Peter Pan. These stories were always told at bedtime and in away, they let Wendy pretend she was still in Neverland running barefoot through the Neverwood with the Lost Boys in tow and her childhood friend keeping pace by her side.
A small part of her wished that she could go back and do exactly that, perhaps even experience growing up again, though she wasn't sure she could bear leaving Peter and the Land of Never Ever again...
Every now and then, when Jane's stories ran late into the night, Wendy could swear she heard the tinkle of a bell and the sound of footsteps on the roof outside. Her heart told her it was Peter, for he so loved to eavesdrop on a good story about himself.
But her head told her she was just pretending to her things, strongly believing that Peter had truly forgotten the Darling house, still it never hurt to let her imagination wander, just as it always did and always would, even after the stories ended, the lights were dimmed, and the window was shut.
The Newest Lost Boy -- Wendy&John
John had said the Lost Boy's Oath, although, secretly, Peter had forgotten most of the original oath so made up things as he went along but John seemed so eager about taking the Oath that he altogether missed the drawn out pauses Peter took whilst he thought of things that sounded good for his oath.
Either way, John was the first new Lost Boy and this was something he had to tell Wendy about. So, both boys took off toward Neverland and arrived outside the Hideout sometime later. Night had engulfed the Neverwood in waves of inky black and wild beast called out to her from various locations of the forest, these were the sounds of home for the Only Child and he smiled at them as he pushed the door open.
"Here's the hideout," explained Peter as he pulled various items out of the pockets Wendy had sewn for him and tossed them aside. He showed John the rest Hideout as if the boy had never been there before. "I suppose we'll have to get a hammock for you... An animal skin as well, actually, Lost Boys get that for themselves."
He paused then, remembering the real reason he'd rushed back to Neverland so quickly. Peter's emerald eyes scanned the underground den, which was mostly empty, excepting the fire that crackled in the boys makeshift hearth. "Wendy?" Peter called out before running past John and hopping over the Never Tree Stump, ransacking the hideout in search of her, mostly in places she would obviously not fit.
"Peter! O there you are, I have been so terribly worried as have the lost boys...well not as much sadly."
"I'm terribly sorry, Wendy! You see I'd decided to go on an adventurer rather late at night and everyone was asleep so I thought it best not to wake them. I haven't been gone to long have I?"
