It was a dismally brisk morning when John Childermass ventured out into the depths of London winter for the sake of purchasing a proper breakfast before his master, Mr Norell, started eating wine and cheese instead something of a more nutritional value. Their unconventional, secretive ways of life, both as magicians and british citizens, created a slew of problems – however, it was nothing a well timed smoulder couldn’t fix.

At first glance the handsomely disheveled hobo aesthetic appeared to be a natural occurrence, however Childermass had it all planned out. He purposefully slept in the same clothes he wore during the day, never washed his hair without a sprinkle of dirt and always kept his bear tripped to a stubble that said ‘I’m intellectual enough to care but avant-garde enough to be attractively gross.’
