I was going to wait and add some more things to this download but we need something beautiful - happy - blackgirlmagic during these difficult days, so here are some basegame recolours in purple with the very awesome @asieybarbie's artwork. This one I dedicate to @babyphatqueen1 because she is so sweet and supportive, and asked about the set I was preparing with this (haven't forgot about it, boo! Still going to happen!).
No mesh necessary, canvases are buyable without cheats (it's in clutter) and in 3 swatches; I featured 8 paintings with two choices of frame each (cream and lavender). Standalone recolours, won't override anything, basegame compatible, custom thumbnails.
TOU: As always, please do not claim as yours, do not re-upload and please give credit where credit is due (many thanks to @asieybarbie and wishing her much luck and fortune).
Download it HERE (Dropbox, no ads). Keep cool & dream in purple.
TheAfricanSim - Conversion of ModishKitten's African Headwrap
(with much help from @indiaskapie). In 30 African patterns (including Ankara, Mudcloth, Shweshwe and Kente patterns you will have seen in previous projects) and 26 solid colours specifically referenced from African textile samples (that happen to look gorgeous on black and brown skin).
Info and download links under the cut.
It clips with some hairstyles, and looks best with short hair. If you like, please do me a teeny favor and send me an ask or personal message with 3 digits - your favourite pattern (e.g. P03) or your favourite colour (C16) so I can keep on record what patterns and colours are the most popular to use them more often (you can choose several if you like).
I dedicate this little retexture to @fuyaya who is an amazing cc creator, a wonderful person and also is so helpful and kind to new custom content creators (follow her if you don't already!).
- basegame compatible
- mesh included
- Random disabled
- Found under hat (brimless)
- Custom thumbnails
- Available for all genders, though it is under feminine style
- Teen to Elder, everyday, party, formal, event, retail
- All LODS
TOU: Please do not claim as yours or re-upload (especially to paysites), please give credit where credit is due and link here if you want to recolour it (please don’t include the mesh), especially since updates or fixes may be necessary at some point. Also, please be respectful of African people and culture and use this headwrap accordingly. You may tag me (theafricansim) if you wish, I would love to see and reblog what you create.
Credits:

I have also uploaded a Photoshop recolour template with instructions HERE (it includes a custom made shadow layer and texturized layer).
It's been tested by @frhsims3 (thank you so much!) and seems to work fine, so feel free to grab my first shared build! All cc included in one file (it's the Afrodiner set I prepared plus the decals I finished). Put THIS in your tray folder and THIS in your Mods folder or alternatively get the cc and place the lot from the gallery (my ID is tallyx90). I did use MOO so activate that before placing it if possible. I uploaded it several times to the gallery because I tried to change the main image, but all versions should work.

African Diner Set (Dine Out recolours for an Afrocentric restaurant). A really great expansion but not a lot of ethnic options, and I’m telling you, African cuisine is nothing short of MAJOR FLAVOUR. So popping out those colours and patterns for you all out there who know what I’m talking about. Meshes: You will NEED DINE OUT for these to show up.

Decorating tip: for a formal restaurant, choose one of the set options where the curtains, table and chair have the exact matching pattern, and if you’re going for a more laid-back, easygoing place, mix everything up as much as possible. I’m sorry I didn’t put everything in the same number of patterns for all items, but most of everything can be matched easily, if only by colour scheme. I also made a preview where you can see at a glance which pattern set is “complete”.
This set contains:
- African Diner Square Table 1x1 - Mesh from Dine Out - 10 swatches
- African Classic Curtain Medium Height - 2x1 - Mesh from Dine Out - 12 swatches
- African Diner Retro Dinette Dining Chair - Mesh from Dine Out - 10 swatches
- African Four Treasures of the Sign - Mesh from Dine Out - 6 swatches (3 designs with 2 options each)
- BnB Perfect Swirl African Painting - Mesh from Dine Out (the glass of wine paintig), artwork by the am azing Keith Mallett, 12 swatches (4 paintings with 3 different coloured frames)
- BnB African Blushing Bride Arch - basegame mesh - basically just a recolour so it has dark wood and more vibrant flowers (so it looks more tropical) - 2 watches
- BnB Clapboard Crush walls - just a wood recolour I made some time ago that works well with this set, in all three heights and two wood colours
They are standalone recolours with custom thumbnails featuring an African mask logo except for the wall which just has my basic B&B logo.
I’m still working on the decal, when it’s ready I will upload that and the African Diner I used for the preview.
Dedicated to @that-latin-simmer, hoping our families can dine together sometime in Ilha do Sal (Cape Verde) together - there was some “damn fine” Portuguese-African food there, though I’m guessing she has a couple of magical dishes up her own sleeve in that sector.
TOU: please don’t claim as your own or reupload to pay sites. If you use it for your own creations please credit and link back.
Fragrant frangipanis, outrageous orchids and wonderful wildlife - and something both comfy and stylish to wear in hot weather. This one is dedicated to my very special friend @j-mzungu, here's hoping we will both return to Africa some time soon! I've saved all of these textures too, so you'll all be seeing them again! HAPPY EASTER!
