Introduction
As I pack in these coming weeks for both college and Africa it is becoming more and more surreal that this high school chapter of my life is closing. July 9th, 2018 marks the day I leave Pennsylvania for a month of adventure, new friendships, eye-opening experiences and the journey that God has called me to embark on. I will be traveling to the country Namibia in Southern Africa where my team and I will be staying alongside the Himba people just outside their village. They are an indigenous tribe that speak their own language, so there will be a language barrier; however, love knows no barrier - especially the love of God.
I will have access to internet connection once every 2 weeks, so three times total while I’m away, and I will use that time to update this blog so everyone can know what’s really going on while I’m halfway across the world. I will share lessons I’m learning, pictures I’ve taken and some of the unique experiences I will have encountered living among the tribe! I am so blessed to have been given this opportunity and I hope to share everything with those interested in my life and experiences!
