We the people of a darker hue
We were sentient peoples. We were once warriors. We were once proud people. We ate healthy food that gave us energy and joy. Over time, the invaders came. We drove them off at first. But when they returned, they came in peace and slowly corrupted our pride. Soon we were lost. Trapped between outer modernity and inner traditions. We began to be swayed by the invaders showreels. We assumed our mundane lives can be enhanced by their exciting and well packaged lies. We became trapped between our simple joys and their exciting lies.
We became lost. We ate their foods, lived as 2nd class people in their cultural reality and our social cohesion fragmented. We were once community but without shared practises, who are we? In time, we forgot our languages, our religions, our lands, our customs and our faith in ourselves. We became angry. Some tried to return to the old ways. We were too late. The invaders corrupted everything. We did not know their drive is destruction because they called it progress. Their showreels always spoke of progress yet the proof is vastly different.
We began to long for change. We began to move away from chasing exciting lies and return to mundane truth. Love is better than bitterness. Faith is better than greed. Truth is better than well packaged lies.
We began to remove ourselves from their invaders philosophies and their armies of destruction. We began to dream of a new place. A place away from the toxicity of modernity. We are sentient peoples. We are warriors. We are proud peoples. We return to healthy food that give us joy and energy. We disentangle our minds from the invaders philosophies. We will be free. We were always free…❁
