1: Who do you identify with the most personally, Charles or Erik – and why
On a personal level I identify more with Erik. He’s an angry man with very clear ideas of what’s wrong with society, he can get intense and overreact dramatically but deep down he just wants to be accepted and loved. And I want a guy who looks like James and forgives me for all the crazy shit I pull too, so yeah xDD
4: Your favorite Cherik kink?
Hmmm, I do have a thing for Erik being a power!bottom who knows what he wants and takes it. For some reason these fics are always free of the bottoming clichee problems that pop up in a number of bottom!Charles fics I mentioned in the linked post. Power!bottom Erik never feels “weak” or dumbed down for the sake of his sexual position and this gives me life.
16: At which point did you know that you had sold your soul to Cherik?
That actually happened pretty early on. I joined tumblr because of James but noticed that people were “shipping” (didn’t know that term before tumblr) Charles with Erik who was played by that German speaking Irish dude. While I’d been an X-men fan before and had thought “well that was gay” when I left XMFC it had never occurred to me that people were really making up stories about these characters’ relationship. I was a bit reluctant at first but then I read An Ideal Grace by @afrocurl and nekomuse while I was staying at my old flatshare in Edinburgh and was ENRAPTURED. Didn’t leave that sofa for like two days and yes, pretty much sold my soul.
