Where were they? Where were they?! All of Seelie was within his purvey, yet the little whelps had simply-- vanished. Not even as if there were an obvious blind spot moving about in he realm, no, it was as if they simply did not exist anymore. The amount of time that had passed since he was last able to locate them, who knew where they could have gone by now! No!
Iain rose from his throne with an enraged noise, and the fae at his side startled, yet didn't seem too surprised.
"Your...Majesty? What is the matter--"
Ruaidhri's words cut off with a startled noise when a hand fisted in his hair and pulled. The fae fell to his knees with a gasp of pain, and Iain cruelly twists his hold, ripping silver and flower petals alike out.
"I should simply tear this land asunder and be done with it! None of you deserve life! None of you deserve the right to live off of my sacrifice!"
The other remained silent, seeming to sense that any response would only serve to anger the false king more, an yet his silence seemed to accomplish it all the same.
Aithreachas pierced his arm, and Ruaidhri cried out. The sword withdrew, leaving silver blood in its wake, and next pierced his leg. The man was torturing him. Taking out his anger on the nearest target like some sort of enraged child. It would have been laughable if the pain weren't so intense, and if he wasn't certain the false king would certainly kill him like this.
The next stab went through his side, and the king held the bloody blade against Ruaidhri's face as his own eyes glinted with mania.
"You all..." Iain seethed.
Yet before he could continue, the doors to the throne room were pushed open, and the false king's attention turned to the newcomer.
"..."
"Oh." Iain's hand suddenly released Ruaidhri's hair, allowing the other fae to collapse weakly to the ground. The man himself straightened with a pleased look, every trace of his earlier rage now vanished.
"One of the whelps delivers herself back to my hands. How convenient. Tell me, what happened to your brother?"

Bristled fur of his beloved pet is smoothed down by Edgar, holding him close as he faces the other. He holds himself as if the threat of potential death (or something far far worse) doesn't practically stare him in the face.
