First years into apocalypse

A zombie apocalypse broke out that effected both humans and cybertronians. After his team was killed, Optimus went to Griffin Rock to warn the Burns family and Rescue Bots.

From then, they all worked on helping each other survive through this mess while also working on finding a way to stop it.

11 years into apocalypse

Several deaths took place, and it was now down to a 25-year-old Cody Burns and Heatwave to stop the apocalypse. Cody became the leader of an organization called ‘The Fallout’ with Heatwave’s help.

He worked on training people in all aspects. He had also trained himself in all aspects of his family’s professions before he became the leader of The Fallout.

After apocalypse

After a very strict battle plan, the apocalypse was over. Now was a recovery period. During this time, Cody met someone special. After meeting her, he began to genuinely smile again. Heatwave hasn’t seen Cody smile ever since the incident that costed everyone’s lives.

Years passed, and Cody and this special someone now have a child. This child has quickly become acquainted with Heatwave, and now sees him as a second father figure. Even if she already has a father and mother.

Another After update

So after taking chapter one into one of my graduate classes, I have been haunted by a question one person asked: “Why do these people keep going?” The short answer is ‘wut why do people live now’ but the deeper answer is ‘I don’t know these characters as well as I should.’ I also, apparently, haven’t developed them enough in the first chapter so I’m working on that. 

In order to remedy my ‘I don’t know you people’ problem, I’ve reverted to a project I started back in summer 2013 then unceremoniously abandoned due to personal issues, AKA project character sheets. Because I feel like I know who Hayden is at a base level, and because I know the answer to ‘why does he keep going,’ I am focusing on the one that doesn’t want me to know her (STILL. THE PUNK). 

Here’s what I’ve learned so far:

Danielle has three tattoos. Stars on her right wrist (to match with the moon on Hayden’s left), the date she and Hayden were 'rescued’ on her left shoulder, and a water color something on her left upper arm (Still trying to figure that one out) and more pending, if I can find a tattoo that isn’t super cliche.

She owns a Glock 19 that she bought after the outbreak

Though she rarely says it, her favorite word is fuck. 

Literally the only person she’ll talk about in the family section is her dad. 

Her dad is 62 in Part 2, when he officially shows up in narrative for a physical ‘confrontation.’

The closer we get to real deep shit, the more and more difficult it’s becoming to get anything.

I will have a complete picture before the end of the week if it kills me.
