GUESS WHAT I’M WATCHING LADS

“I’m willing to take new patients right now. Don’t be too pushy, okay?”
a quick lil zo
good evening!!
A heavy sigh escaped his dry lips as Ianthe settled onto the wooden bench. Feet cramped against the hard leather of his boots, back aching from the weight of his breastplate, he wondered how he had ever managed as a real soldier. If the uniform of a guard was too much for him to bear, was it any wonder the battlefield felt so foreign to him?
Exhaustion gripped him more than unusual. It was no longer merely physical, not even mental - he felt socially exhausted from the constant thrum of people in the city. At least at home, all the tongues that spoke were English, the faces familiar. There was too much available here.
Wrapping his fingers around the body of his mug, he brought it closer to himself to nurse as he made efforts to reawaken himself. There was another present, he knew. Tilting his head to the side, he offered his apparent companion at the table a small, tired smile and a quick “Evening.” -- hoping it would not be inappropriate. Stone walls and wooden tables were rarely welcoming of nobility, leaving the common room refreshingly ordinary most days of the week.
