After the Firestorm||Post-BotFA King Bard||
The danger of the dragon has passed, and now the men and women of Esgaroth are beginning to rebuild. Rather than a new master, most have chosen to elect a King, odd though it sounds it works well enough for most, and Bard has thus far, though reluctant, been the only one to be nominated. So with no small sense of uncertainty he’s stepped up, and taken leadership of his people, treating everyone he can with all the fairness he can manage.
Many of the rich are discontent, but the previously impoverished rejoice for their new king, and Bard choses some among them(not least of all Hilda Bianca) for his council. He has done his best to select even representation among rich and poor, man and woman alike, and all seems well. His children are well tended, and trained to defend themselves properly, and Bard often seeks personal support, as well as advice, from the elvenking, Thranduil.
