One of our volunteers went out to see #Buddy and #Cash this weekend and spend some quality time with these sweet #Standie boys who are in rehab. She called their condition “horrifying”, and we agree. The photos don’t even show half of the issues. Buddy and Cash are prime examples of why we want to divert standardbred horses after their racing career and before the Amish. They have been mistreated, overworked and are covered in scars to show it. They went from a life of love to a life of hard labor. We’re bringing the love back. #afterthetrack #safeharbor

Beautiful, ride-able and rehabbed. Over $3,000 has been spent to save #Bosco. He was destined for Slaughter, but we were able to save him as a team. He was living in extreme pain with a ruptured eye, but we were able to give him relief. He was starving, but we provided feed and good nutrition.
