I’m doing a deep rereading of Heartless and annotating during it AND I FOUND THE CUTEST DETAIL EVER

In the very beginning of chapter one Cath has a dream of “a hazy beautiful boy” which we know is Jest. The part that has me dying from how absolutely DIVINE it is, is that Cath described her dream as knowing Jest had something of her’s that she wanted back. Every time she tried to move closer to take it back he moved farther and farther away.

Bless Marissa Meyer for adding this little tid-bit because all I can think about is that JEST HAD CATHERINE’S HEART BEFORE THEY EVEN MET
