I'm watching her. She's staring at the flames of the old forge, lost in the flickering movement of the fire. We could hear clanging down the hall.
I was sketching the frame of her face and back in my journal as she stood, contemplating something. No doubt an interesting conversation will be had once she decides what it is she's thinking about should come to a verbal remark.
I've missed her terribly.
She'd up and disappeared one day. I had no idea why. She gave me no reason. No explanation upon returning either. Three years, she'd been gone, and then just showed up again like no time had passed.
Perhaps, for her, no time did.
She looked different, her face in slightly different configuration, new marks and markings written upon her skin, but it was still inevitably her. She was malleable, a force of magical nature so alien to all that I was that I barely scratched the surface of understanding her. So, often, I could only merely accept and be humbled.
She was so still I couldn't even see her breathing. Did her mortal form breathe? I was curious. I opened my mouth to ask, but Agaile beat me to it.
"Do you have... young things?"
I stammered directly to a stop, confused and unsure of the direction of the conversation.
"I don't understand. Young... things?"
She swung around, her white eyes alighting on me with a soft glow, "Young... Things. I do not know," She shrugged, and her brow furrowed, beautiful face contorting comically, "The small people." She held her hand about waist high.
"Children?" I supplied. Her eyebrows shot up and the corners of her mouth tilted ever so slightly. Agaile was a strange combination of being overly expressive and not expressive enough. I had gotten used to it though.
"Yes. Children. Blood. Legacy. Continuity." She suddenly rattled off the words in a row and I had a knot suddenly form in the pit of my stomach. I gazed down at the pages in my journal blankly.
I looked up, she was watching me expectantly, "Almost." I answered as simply as I could, but her head tilted and I could see the question forming, but suddenly she aborted the question halfway and her eyes narrowed.
"I have... hurt... you?" Her mouth formed a nearly perfect circle of sudden distress. I couldn't help the small laugh that escaped at her expression and it seemed to confuse her ever further, her teeth suddenly snapping together. "I don't. I. You. What?"
"They did not live." I explained, a sad smile on my face. I had thought myself well over that memory, it had been... a very long time.
Agaile's face smoothed out, showing nothing, giving nothing. She went very quiet before she finally sat down next to my chair, her back curled against my leg. She sat silent as I flipped a page, going back to the painstaking notes I was taking about a new process in working soulgems directly into metal that was being experimented with.
A twitch, and my eyes were back on her in an instant, she had moved so her eyes were on me, her neck twisted around at what could only be an uncomfortable angle. She reminded me much of a confused puppy at times, "This. Is why you. Teach? Me?"
I smiled. Agaile had grown in ways I had never expected from the callous, uncaring, and frankly terrifying creature that had been dropped upon me in the early days, centuries ago. I lay my hand on her hair, the strands spilling over my fingers like rivulets of blood. "I teach you because I love you, my dear." Agaile blinked and turned back to the fire, pondering my words. It could be minutes, hours, days, or even years before I got a response to that.
I knew though, I knew, that she would never forget it. Agaile forgot nothing.
It would seem that I had forgotten much as well. Though I'd seen her in battle before, the destruction can never truly be retained by the mortal mind. Though she had two blades spun of a fine crystalline material, she didn't need to use them. As she turned to one of our enemies, he collapsed to his knees, blood pouring from his eyes and ears before he... disintegrated. A soft mist of blood was left in his place as it wafted on the air, painting the stones behind him in a surprisingly lovely shade of scarlet. Oh, by the Nine, what am I thinking? Lovely? Really. It would seem traveling with Agaile is once again driving me insane. Full of incessant questions, hilarious episodes, peppered with the occasional moments of sheer and absolute terror. Like now. One of the bandits struck out at me and I parried with my own light blade before shocking him in the face with a fistful of lightning. I didn't have a chance to finish him as Agaile cleaved him in two. I realized that everything had gone silent, and as I looked around, I realized that Agaile and I were now alone. A dozen bandits. A dozen... and I had a single kill to my name. One. Agaile bent and picked up a boot, the foot still inside, and tossed it aside the path with a wet plop that made my stomach turn. I covered my mouth and closed my eyes, trying very hard not to vomit. When I opened them again, Agaile was watching me intently, "I'm okay." I said. Her eyebrows drew down in puzzlement. Each emotion on her face was always wide and displayed with all the subtlety of a mammoth. "If you are, oh-kay, why do you seem to be discomfited?" She asked. My mouth opened, but no sound came out for a moment, and I looked at the roof of the cavern to take my eyes from the corpse-flesh scattered about us, "Death." "Death." She repeated, rolling the word around in her mouth, "Yes. You told me of this before. They do not... awaken." Her voice seemed somehow sad, and I couldn't help but look at her, she was staring at the recently detached face of a man, fringed with the majority of his intact beard, "But now they dream, yes?" She turned to me, her eyes wide, innocent, and a smile graced her face, "Dreaming is good. You like dreams, I remember." "That's... not... quite the same, Agaile." "I dream when I am not here." "But you... are not... like us." She turned, wordlessly, and moved through the bodies, her slim form moving elegantly as she stepped between the growing pools of blood and miscellaneous gore. I followed her, picking my way with far less grace as I tried to avoid the worst of the mess. No, I thought, not like us at all.

1. If you could change one thing in the world, it would be?
To make people happier, too many people are sad or depressed.
2. The best and worst thing about social media is?
Best: Spreads information fast. Worst: Nasty rumors can be spread.
3. If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be?
Troian Bellisario, because she is such an inspirational person, and without her in pll, I would probably have a worse life than I have right now.
4. Describe why you love your favorite ship.
How can you not love Spoby? First, is they have been through so much, I mean Spencer had a mental breakdown because Toby was -A. They still stick together, though. Also, that's kind of what I want in a relationship, minus the -A part, but they are such a strong couple who are totally and completely in love. I can keep going on, but I have 7 more questions to answer.
5. Describe pll in 5 words
Torturous, Heartbreaking, Love, Friendship, Death
6. Top 3 pet peeves.
Chewing with your mouth open, Not responding right away while texting (I'm guilty of this...oops), when people act like they're better than everyone else.
7. Troian or Keegan? and why?!
After reading Troian's article in Seventeen Magazine, definitely Troian. She is such an amazing role model, and I have realized we have a lot in common. When she was younger she struggled with an eating disorder and punishing herself, I'm actually doing this to myself right now ( I've lost about 10 pounds recently). She also felt like she had to be the best for her parents, and right now my parents are putting a lot of pressure on me right now, telling me I have to practically be the best. Sadly, unlike Troian, my friends and family probably won't notice and make an intervention.
8. A book, quote, film or song that has changed your life/outlook on life.
"You know what they say about hope; it breeds eternal misery."-Spencer Hastings. This quote kind of changed what/how I want things. I no longer believe good things will happen to me, that I just have to believe or anything. I just think: things happen, its life.
9. Love, money or sex, the thing you could never live without?
Love, I don't think I would have a reason to live without love.
10. Favorite drink?
A Mexican soda. But if I'm at Starbucks, a Double Chocolaty Chip Frappe.
11. A famous person you would like to play you in a story of your life?
Troian Bellisario, I think she would portray me well, for reasons stated above.
