                        you  are  stubborn  when  he  gives  you  advice   .   who  is  he  to  believe  you  need  help  ?  in  all  honesty  ,  you  are  just  a  kid  &  his  advice  comes  in  handy  whenever  he  is  willing  to  offer  it  .  &  he  is  willing  to  at  any  time  you  ask for  ;  or  not  .  you  are  young  &  inexperience  .  renly  has  laughed  as  your  willingness  to  set  that  aside  &  fight  with  larger  ,  bigger  ,  older  men  in  order  to   prove  yourself     (     that   blind  loyalty  to  your  family  ,  the  one  you  are  not  willing  to  set  aside  for  renly  or  any  other  ,  even  with  the  sudden  affection  he  has  showed  you  ,  the  one  you  are  yet  to  make  your  siblings  familiar  with     )     .  &  garlan  keeps  talking   &  you  let  a  huff  escape  your  lips  .  you  are  tired  of  being  told  what  to  do  ,  but  at  the  same  time  ,  you  admire  him  .  the  way  he  fights  against  two  ,  three  ,  four  men  without  flinching  ,  without  hesitation  ,  so  effortlessly  ,  flawlessly  .  you  follow  his  command  ,  even  if  you  stance  tells  otherwise  .

                        rhaenys tries to move through the darkened halls of the keep as quickly and quietly as possible. her father may have REFUSED to give her permission to see her family in dorne, but that isn’t going to stop her from leaving ANYWAY. disrespectful? rhaenys martell-targaryen could care less. king or not, her father has never DESERVED her respect, not after everything he’s done and everything he continues to do. 

                         just as she makes a turn, she gasps. unable to stop herself, she throws ( and admittedly MISSES the brunette ) an apple at garlan. ❝ what are you doing here? ------ if you’re here to STOP me, then don’t bother.  ❞

                you have to ask. it's going to get worse if you don't. ❛ hey, have you seen loree around ? she's this tall, hair in braids, orange dress. ❜ elia shifted on her feet, gaze darting left and right but never focusing. ❛ not like i lost her or anything. mom would gut me. ❜ loreza wasn't entirely lost until her sister's search yielded no results, right ? as much as she wanted to say it wasn't her fault if loree couldn't stay still for more than a few minutes before running off to who knew where, but since she was on babysitting duty...yes, yes it was.

Abel looks up from the scene of devastation; he had to admit that he wasn’t sure what Lord Garlan was talking about. If it was the scene in front of them or whatever other subject they had been talking about before Abel had been pulled from his thoughts. Abel had to admit that he didn’t know much about the Ironborns, not beyond what he had read and been told from stories (which not only wasn’t much but also had its own dose of legend to it). Perhaps the Lord had seen more disturbing things, and the reality of soldiers dead in a field wasn’t shocking for someone like Abel. That scared him, in a way. 

And he guessed that was part of the point; of the why these corpses had been left there.

Blue eyes close for a moment and he holds his breath for a moment before rising once again from the closest corpse. His own helmet was held beneath his arm and brown curls are matted with sweat against his own head. It scared him that they all should come to that point: to look at this loss of life and find it normal. Perhaps it was for the best, for the best that he didn’t scowl at the smell of death and blood; the buzzing of flies against his ear. 

He looks across the scene one last time, lips closed tightly before allowing them to return to the other. A short nod is given before the helmet is placed back over his head, hand over the pommel of his own sword “We should continue to move forward, my lord.”

                         you  drink  from  the  beer  in  your  hand  ,  a  smile  on  your  lips  &  laughter  rippling  in  your  throat  .  there  is  pizza  on  the  table  &  some  kind  of  dessert  margaery  has  prepared  for  the  both  of  you  before  leaving  with  leonette  ,  sansa  &  the  rest  of  the  girls  to  their  night  out  .  garlan  is  telling  you  something  that  you  can  not  keep  quiet  to  .  you  play  with  the  bottle  between  your  hands  ,  before  leaving  it  on  the  table  to  grab  a  piece  of  pizza  ;  you  clean  your  hands  before  speaking  ,  point  at  him  for  a  moment  before  laughing  &  patting  his  shoulder  .  it  is  that  kind  of  confidence  ,  lack  of  your  usual  shyness  that  you  only  have  with  your  siblings  ,  you  trust  him  to  make  the  kind  of  jokes  at  the  tip  of  your  tongue  &  to  having  him  laughing  even  if  it  is  ,  sometimes  ,  at  your  own  expense  .

                           you  take  a  deep  breath  .  pizza  on  top  of  a  napkin  ,  you  grab  your  beer  again  .     “     you  can  not  tell  me  you  choked  in  that  moment  .  the  poor  girl  has  been  waiting  enough  ,  you  idiot  .     ”     /     @agallantrose  .
