                       She laughs a single low note, half-shrugging in a gesture that says she’s been there too. “Yeah, this stuff doesn’t come overnight.” It did for her, of course. But generally not. Another error pops up on the monitor, unable to find a file that doesn’t exist. Her fingers swipe the keyboard more frantically, pushing keys faster than she could read. Clara knew what she was looking for, no need to be excessive in her search - the particular CCTV recording would stick out when she found it.

me? going through old threads i had with people, finding ones i owed on but never knew and replying about two years late? more likely than you think

           here’s a controversial thought:     we should let conventionally unattractive/plain characters be unattractive or plain. we don’t need them to be beautiful but just lacking in confidence. it’s!! okay!! to not be pretty!!!! let people breathe!!!  if their physicality is a part of their character, don’t disregard it??  don’t make it seem that “they were actually beautiful all along!” let them be valuable for their traits outside of physical features. they’re plain but someone falls in love with them? GUESS THEY WERE ACTUALLY PRETTY THE WHOLE TIME! No. Characters can be loved without looking conventionally desirable.
