Almost finished flowering, Swan's Neck Agave, see the flowering progress from 14th May until now, 4 months of flowering (Agave attenuata) also known as the Foxtail or Lion's tail. Native to the plateau of central west Mexico. The last photos show the offsets that have formed and the seed pods. If you keep them in a pot you can keep the size down. Swan's Neck Agave, this shows the flowering progress over time (Agave attenuata) also known as the Foxtail or Lion's tail. Native to the plateau of central west Mexico. It’s nice because it has no spikes at all. I first posted this on May 14th and the flower is less than half way through flowering after a month and a half. There is even another tiny flower which I’ve never seen happen before. It’s very easy to propagate and doesn’t ask for much so I’ve got it planted all over the place and also have given lots away. Just keep the prunings or break off the suckers at the size you need. Each shoot is a bit over a metre wide down to 10cm for the small suckers. If you keep them in a pot you can keep the size down.
