rewatching Picard and it is mostly a lot better than I remember it. (Like Discovery, shows that are essentially one long movie spread out over 10 episodes are much better binged than watched weekly). But damn does Bev keep taking Ls
TNG!Beverly, Future!TNG!Beverly, and Picard!Beverly all confirmed Irumonic Syndrome. And all were obviously wrong, of course, which was so obvious that after a day with Picard, Alton “my dad was so disappointed in me that he invented a whole new type of life to avoid parenting me or anyone like me” Soong was able to tell that instead of a rare and previously undetected genetic condition, he was actually suffering from “still kinda borg”
Bev apparently cleared Picard to return to duty while he was still kinda borg
“none of us have seen Beverly in 20 years but I think she’s probably alright”
“the frontal cortex doesn’t develop in humanoids until age 25” shut uuuuppppp shut up this is the 25th century and we’re still misreading the study that said “if the prefrontal cortex ever stops changing shape then it’s definitely not by age 25, but age 25 is simply when we ran out of money so we can’t say if or when it ever stops changing”
SERIOUSLY why is “young people brain not done cookin” the best justification we can find for getting the old band back together (okay this one isn’t about Bev but it pmo)
