I saw the need for agegap omegaverse willmack, and I will throw my hat in the ring. I have actually been sitting on this idea of a while but I lowkey got sidetracked. So here goes nothing and we’ll picture like a ten year age gap:
Picture this, Will is like hotshot alpha player for the sharks, leading them out of their drought, consistently getting into playoffs, nearly winning the Stanley cup. Anywho, he’s back in Boston doing some alumni stuff when he meets a one Rick Celebrini, he’s actually met him before several times when he would work with some of the sharks as well with helping with his shoulder injury. Rick tells Will that he’s in town hosting a small sports medicine clinic for both Boston college and Boston university (I don’t know what they offer so for the sake of this story, we’ll pretend they offer sports medicine) and he asks him if he’s willing to be a volunteer for some of the students to learn how to properly wrap bandages and all that jazz. Will is always glad to help out, so he agrees. And at the student clinic, each student gets a turn working with Will, and one student catches Will’s eyes instantly. A young, pretty brunette (yet his hair looks lighter in the light), an omega, with the most unique green eyes he’s ever seen and smells vaguely of maple syrup and something else that makes his mouth water, something familiar but he can’t put his finger on it. He greets Will with a sheepish smile, a bit shy upon meeting him, that Will is endeared by him. He learns his name is Macklin but “you can call me Mack :)” and is more than glad to play practice dummy for him.
What started as a meet cute quickly spirals away once Mack gets used to Will. And Will has never met such a bossy, mouthy, dare he say brat of an omega before. It’s a complete 180 of who he met. He has never been so in love before. He’s practically putty to every one of Mack’s demands. He lets himself be manhandled by this pretty omega, practically rumbling every time Mack sets his hands on him.
They strike up a conversation where Will learns that Mack used to play hockey, almost pro until he suffered a career ending hip injury when he was seventeen, his first year attending Boston University. He decided to follow his father footsteps in learning sports medicine, so he can become a physical therapist. He also lets Will know that he does have a side hustle where he does part modeling for some sports/athletic wear to help cover some of the cost of his tuition (despite Rick trying to pay for it, Mack refuses, wanting to be able to do it himself) and works part time teaching little pups how to skate at a local rink. Will wants to propose. And he totally doesn’t go home the next day and googles some of Mack’s adverts. He finds out he mostly models for like yoga and more omega type athletic clothing, but there are few of him modeling for hockey underclothing, like compression clothing and Will totally doesn’t save an image of him displaying the latest hockey compression leggings.
The two of them had exchanged contact info, you know just in case, and they begin talking more and more outside of sports medicine and more about personal info about each other. They end up going on dates whenever they are in the same city, before Will finally works up the nerve to ask Mack out. They start a relationship (romantic) and courtship but they decide to only let close family and friends know, Mack not wanting to draw attention to Will and away from his playing. And he knows that there is a decent age gap between the two, despite being twenty/twenty one, he knows that some people might change their view on Will. And he doesn’t want that for him.
Of course, nothing goes their way, as pictures of Will and his family alongside with Mack’s family attending Mack’s undergrad graduation leaks. People put two and two together cause in one of the pictures leaked, it shows Will giving a kiss to Mack. One that doesnt look like it can be faked. It blows up, people wondering who the omega is that charmed the long lone bachelor shark, Will is notorious for denying any attempted set ups from his teammates and having very short and casual relationships, never ever serious, and keeping his private life out of the media. People find out about Macklin, and are shook by how young he is, some people raising eyebrows about their relationship, mostly difference in age. They’re also surprised to learn that they already knew (those in sports world) who he was as he was multiple catalogs and in some store display adverts from modeling for athletic clothing.
Will and Mack decide to announce their relationship on social media, as more and more people keep inquiring about it, and Will wants all discourse to stop. Will posts a photo of himself and Mack in Wills kitchen. Mack carrying Wills dog like a baby, a big gummy smile on his face, Will, having his arm wrapped around Mack’s waist, pressing a kiss to cheek. The caption: my two loves, wills closest friends clown him for it, as it’s a sweet and cute photo to hard launch. Mack on the other hand, in an agreement with sharks media and the latest legging brand Mack has been modeling for, he posts a picture of him wearing Wills sharks jersey (purposefully a larger size) wearing a new pair of compression leggings with it, proudly displaying the back, with Will’s last name bold across his back. His caption: 2+71 with a little heart emoji, the hashtag the future is teal. Will commenting a bunch heart emoji’s with only one word among the emojis: hot.
Rick totally didn’t set his son and Will up at the sports medicine clinic (he totally did, he knew how obsessed his son was with the sharks and saw him adding on to his Will Smith shrine he denies that he has. Smith wasn’t a bad idea for a son in law, plus hockey prodigy grandkids)
Just a little something to throw out there. I will definitely come back to this as i created a new side story lol. I totally feel asleep and woke up to finish this glad that tumblr didn’t decide to refresh during my slumber lol. I was greatly inspired by some of the other age gap works when I was going through the anon fic list and came up with this lol.
