Library Books and Sleep Deprivation: 1974 (Benjy&Remus)

“I won’t be long, I promise” he told his friends several hours ago when he’d set off to the library. It had been a while since he’d lost himself in the world of literature or discovered something new. A force inside would sing to him every so often that longed for inked pages in the leather bound forest. 

He’d lost track of time reading a new book about dragons that had not long been published. A subject that had interested him lately. The last time he’d heard the clock sound it had gone midnight. 

The sound of heavy doors closing woke him from a slumber he hadn’t realised he’d succumbed to and he frantically shut off the light from the lantern beside him. He knew students weren’t supposed to be out of bed after dark, or at least out of their common rooms without very good reason. A bit of light reading didn’t seem to tick that box. He had to make his presence unknown but he could hear his heart beating like a drum and tried to soften his panicked breath. Trying to form an excuse in his head as to why he was still in the darkened library in the middle of the night, if case his presence was found out.

Do You Wanna’ [1974] James&Sirius

It was that age where everything in the world seemed new and so much bolder. James started to notice girls more, notice that they weren’t as gross as he once thought. He had noticed how different everything seemed to be now he was fourteen, he was growing. The worst part of this though, was feelings. 

He suddenly had large emotional feelings over people who he never really thought or cared about, his mother called this ‘hormones’. Yet, one person he couldn’t help noticing more and more was Sirius.

True, they were best friends and James did see him like a brother, yet there was a part of him that wanted more, a part of James that wondered if there was more to their friendship. Also, a part to himself that questioned, was it just boys he was noticing?

James currently sat alone in the Common Room staring into the fire, there was a lot on his mind. Not just the affects of puberty but homework and Quidditch too. He fixed his glasses and let out a soft sigh, part of him hoping he would stay alone in the Common Room, yet he wouldn’t turn away company.

What is your (first) name and how old are you? (If you’re a part of a small team, briefly state how many of you there are and your ages)  My name is Chelsea, I’m 14 years old. My team right now consists of only me. It’s called Awkward-Llamas

How many years have you/your teammates participated in GISHWHES? This is my first year

What level of priority do you/your team assign GISHWHES? Examples include: Work and School come first; I take off of work to participate; I do what I can in my free time, but I dedicate my entire free time to the scavenger hunt.  Work and school come first for me, but I always have a lot of free time so I would like to use my free time for gishwhes- but what everyone else wishes to do with school and work is completely up to them. (As long as they still use free time to help with the hunt)

What is your intended outcome of GISHWHES? Examples include: To bring awareness to a cause, to have a good experience, to win. I want to meet new people and make new friends while having fun, and trying our hardest to win. ^•^

Do you/your team have any specific skills/trades that might be especially useful to the hunt (please provide no more then five)? Examples include: Artist, Singer, Musician, Writer, Actor/Actress, access to exotic animals, Robert Downey Jr is my uncle. I am a writer and artist. (My aunts an Olympic boxer, but I don’t think that matters)

In a team, which do you prefer: 1) stability and leadership through an elected team captain 2) A team, likely with a team captain, in which all group members are engaged in the decision making process 3) Or, a team in which each member is equally responsible for every aspect of the hunt. No leader, laissez faire. I would like a team where we are all equals, no ‘bossy I’m a leader no matter what. Do what I say or else’ types. But if people need a leader- I wouldn’t mind someone taking charge. (as long as they are nice, and respectful to others feelings.)

Do you view familiarity with teammates a necessary aspect to a successful hunt? I felt that knowing one another is a great way to win, because then we know each others strengths and weaknesses. So I would like to get to know all the other team members a little bit before it starts.

Do you regularly take control of projects in which you are assigned a team (are you a natural leader)?  i am a natural leader-but as you read before I wouldn’t mind having an equal team

Are you easily disappointed and/or angered by imperfections? not really.

Which mode of contact do you prefer if/when a team/member specifically suits your needs or is interested in meeting you? Skype (mine is padfoot-evans) or texting/calling
