If you want to see what the future of medicine (personlized, precision or whatever you choose to call it) you do not need to time travel to the age of flying cars and hedious fashion - even though that was supposedly what two years ago was going to look like. No, the time is now. I am a littke obsessed in learning this field of genetic testing and personalized medicine, I have to say that I am amazed. I've been in the laboratory field for over 4 years and thought I knew what this world was about. Not really. My basic big picture thoughts were accurate but what has astounded me is the spectrum of testing, the variety, the applications, the abilities that our laboratory has (and is continuously adding to) and can therefore passs on to it's partner physicians, hospital systems, assisted living facilities, long-term care groups and many, many other clients to really and truly personalize medical care proactively, quickly, easily, directly, individually (and affordably) to their patients.
